Reality Check In….. Rabbit Edition

I’m flipping the channels, and I come across a “new” reality show from VH1 (also known as recycle  TV central) called ‘Real Chance of Love’..as I continue to watch, I look closely, I see a familiar face I know. Jessica aka Rabbit, is an upcoming Model/actress/Socialite and go getter just to name a few. I was totally shocked she would even do a show like this, she is a very quiet, respectable woman who is about her business. Of course, I called Jess up to give me some insight on the show, and to see if it’s even worth watching. Jess filled me on how, she got an email for the casting, they didn’t give detail on who the show was for. Jess went to the onscreen interview, went threw the whole Psych interview and was picked to move into the house. When I asked about her expectations, she went on to say “I wasn’t expecting anything, it’s three weeks, I was looking to find fun. Everything was a secret, it was very emotional, like a roller coaster, just so abnormal” …She mentioned there was no TV, no cell phones, no anything. I mean of course not, since VH1 wants you to interact with each other at ALL TIMES. This is where the cat fights and drama stems from, no personal space. Jess said the show will be crazy! With everything she mentioned, I still don’t by into the show. With the exceptation of Jess, it’s just buffoonery at it’s finest.

Rabbit’s Thoughts on:
So Hood: GHETTO, just really out there, name fits her. I don’t think she is naturally like that.
MILF:  Whats up with that? She is just old and dusty playmate.

Check Jessica “Rabbit” in the new ‘Pop Champagne’ video for Ron Browz.

The Introduction: Drake

This weekend I got a chance to meet up with Aubrey Graham/Jimmy Brooks Drake who was in town for his 22nd birthday. We kicked it in starbucks on 42nd for awhile and talked hiphop, fashion and everything in between. If you aren’t to familiar with Drake, I suggest you get up to speed.  Drake has been on the Hit TV show “Degrassi” for about 8 years now, and with his music career on the rise, he is separating himself from that particular show.  We also talked about his pilot TV show he shot called “Us & Them“, it is based around him and his best friend who where trying to break into the acting business. We touched on the “Replacement Girl” single and how that callabo came about with Trey Songz. I met him threw someone who was working with me at the time, I wrote the hook with Trey Songz in mind, I met him at his crib in ATL, he heard the record, went downstairs and recorded it. I have to say we have I one of the strongest friendships {Industry Wise}.” {Trey Songz happen to text/email as he was explainging} Hip-hop and Music lovers everywhere… YOU’RE WELCOME

Max B Free From Byrd Gang Records

Max B. and Jim Jones have been engaged in a battle of words for some time now. But it looks like things could get pretty interesting moving forward. The “Silver Surfer” rapper is now free from his Byrd Gang contract with Jones, XXLmag.com has learned.

“I’m as free as a bird,” the rapper told XXLmag.com exclusively. “Now it gives me the ability to ride without no remorse, no sympathy, no pity. I’m riding on everything. I’m riding. I’ma ride on my rivalry for the season. It’s gonna be so wavy. So big, so heavy, so controversial. It’s gonna be like none other.

“I’m gonna speak about everything, Jim Jones,” Max continued. “I got more deep, down, dark secrets.”

Reality Check In..Dylan Edition

I got a chance to kick it on Saturday at B. Smith Restaurant with former ‘Making The Band’ artist Dylan Dilinjah. Since the show; Dylan has been heavily in the studio, working on his debut album. Guest features to include Sizzla & Beenie man to name a few. Dylan, has defiantly grown since the show. the loud, abrasive person he was portrayed to be was surely not there. Single father, residing in Long Island. Dylan continues to perform & DJ in the “garrison’s” (The Hood) of Brooklyn. He continues to have a great outlook on life and on his music career. Don’t get it twisted, he still has that rudeboy fiyah in him, he sassed the hell out of me, for not approving him on myspace! Since the show ended and “the group” eventually broke up (My real thought: When Diddy decided he couldn’t juice anymore money out these musicians), he hasn’t really kept in contact with the former members, speaking to them once every few months. Expect to hear more new music from him soon.

Randomness: Nic from cycle 5 of America’s Next Top Model, walked into the restuarant, straight towards our table, and stood there for 5 seconds stared and walked out. No Clue..lol

Olivia Peforms in NYC..

Me and my homegirl Dee had an exclusive invite to attend Olivia’s party Friday night in New York at Strata Nightclub. Olivia looked stunning and was in great spirits the whole night. She sort of remembered me from my Funkmaster Flex days, and didn’t seem to fond of the The Funkster (Flex is a LEGEND, RESPECT IT!). She performed her new demo single “Rhythm Of My Heart“, which had the crowd hyped and ended it with a special ‘Happy Birthday’ tribute to one of her friends. She ended her performance by shouting out Young Buck & Loyd Banks; stating they are “still her niggas”.. Olivia has been working hard in the studio and is doing something big over in Congo! Her manager shared this with Oliviafans.net

“This Project is in Lubumbashi Congo, Africa which is in Katanga Province of Central Africa and is being named the Katanga Olivia Studio. This is a state of the art modern entertainment complex being constructed in 3 phases. Total cost is 22 million dollars. Phase 1 is the completion of the Recording Studio which houses the dance studio, radio station, lounge and office. Phase 2 is the 8 or 10 shops that will bridge the way between the studio and theater. Phase 3 is the 2500 to 3000 seat capacity theater for concerts/shows/cultural events etc. The land and building will be co-owned by the government/Olivia and Divo sprl (Congolese Company).” respect is due to her, she was in a GREAT situation with Gunit, it turned to a nightmare, to a dream come true for her. Not many artist get a second chance, and she certainly has that. In the midst of creating this enterainment complex, she is busy writing and producing.
