this is all nice and cute, but he has yet to address HOW he knows the Yancey family since Ma Dukes already said she does not know him.

HOW he knows Phat Kat and all the other D artists he’s been shouting out since they too have already stated they dont know this guy

and HOW he was planning to donate to a foundation that hasn’t existed in years?

I don’t think Charles Hamilton initially was trying to be an asshole or disrespectful, but it was all about how he handled the situation, in my humble opinion.

Had he went to J.Dilla’s family and asked would this be ok prior to announcing online that J Dilla was the executive producer, then in my opinion, that would have been showing respect and being respectful of Dilla’s family, and would have prevented the negative reactions that he is now receiving.

In my opinion.

To Karen and all you other folks that support Charles hamilton, it is evident to me that through the course of horrible hip hop journalism (The Source, XXL ect) over the past 10 years or so the current Hip Hop generation is completely ignorant to happenings going further back than 3 or so years. Bold move? This is not bold, its an asshole move. This is not an altruistic move in the least, his album is free and furthermore, there is no need to put Dilla’s name on your album in order to credit and pay his family. It does not make any sense. Hamilton represents a hip hop generation with no respect for their predecessors (you might argue that his credit to Dilla is respect but I would argue that it is of the greatest disrespect) This shit is fucked up for real.
