REACTIONS POUR IN OVER MAX B GUILTY VERDICT

Earlier today rapper, Max B, was found guilty on nine counts stemming from a 2006 robbery that left one man dead.  The convictions levied upon Max, born Charly Wingate are as follows:

  • Aggravated manslaughter
  • Two counts of felony murder
  • Three counts of armed robbery
  • Two counts of kidnapping
  • Conspiracy to commit murder

Karen Civil, who worked with Max B during her tenure at Diplomat Records, had this to say regarding Max’s fate.

“Max B has always been a diligent artist and great to work with. Unfortunately, I hope this does not overshadow that. I will continue to support Max in all his future endeavors.”

Immediately following the verdict of the case, Max’s lawyer, Gerald Sulatti, received  his first death threat, but managed to note that Max still has hope that a decision can be overturned.

“Max wants to thank everyone for their love and support. He is still releasing a new mixtape and to keep following him and his crew as an appeal takes place.”

Sulatti also mentioned that even with the guilty verdict, Max was more than pleased with his legal representation.

“Max told me they could have dug up Johnny Cochran and he still would have picked me.”

Sentencing is scheduled for July 31.
