XV- The Worlds Most Interesting Artist

XV imposes a “Listening Tax” on all music released from his home state of Kansas simply because he can. However, he has done us the favor of lifting it temporarily. He is known to argue with reknown physicists, is confidant to none other than Chuck Norris and only allowed Nelson Mandela 30 sec previews of selected tracks during recent listening session trip in Africa.

1 of 3 Promotional video’s for XV’s July 31st release of the DJ Enuff & DJ Benzi hosted “Everybody’s Nobody” mixtape. XV is featured in this spoof of the Dos Equis “Most Interesting Man in the World” commercial. Download “Everybody’s Nobody” July 31st on thecoolniverse.com

BTW… I make a small cameo in the commercial above :)

Max B sentencing pushed back

max B

Today, a Judge agreed to push back the sentence date to Sept 3rd 2009. Rapper Max B (born Charly Wingate) entered a New Jersey courtroom to learn the duration of his prison stay after his high profile murder case came to a close last month. Max was found guilty on aggravated manslaughter, two counts of felony murder, three counts of armed robbery, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery for his role in a 2006 heist that left one man dead..

While many fans attempt to accept Max’s certain future behind bars, many, including G-Unit’s Tony Yayo, question the acts of lawyer, Gerald Saluti. During the trial, Saluti openly blogged and even used Twitter to communicate with the public about the status and his feelings regarding Max’s case. Max B has also taken on a new lawyer, whose name is not being given out at the moment, to help with his case.

Fans of Max can continute to write him at:

Charly Wingate #74746
Bergen County Jail
160 South River Street
Hackensack, NJ 076018

Even behind bars, Max’s music continues to be released at a rapid pace with his newest tape, “Walk The Plank” with Big Mike, being featured on several websites. With the assistance of his longtime comrade, Bruno, Max’s career and his Gang Greene imprint (consisting of Mac Mustard, Geeda and Max) will continue to put out music.

Eminem – "The Warning" (Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon diss)

Honestly, I’ve been at a loss for words since I heard this earlier. Words really don’t do it justice other than this is the most venomous I’ve heard Em in quite some time.

Listen girly, surely you don’t want me to talk about
How I nutted early ’cause I ejaculated prematurely
And bust all over your belly and you almost started hurling
And said I was gross, go get a towel, your stomach’s curling
Or maybe you do
But if I’m embarrassing me I’m embarrassing you
And don’t you dare say it isn’t true

With allegations like these, it might be a rough night in the Cannon-Carey household.

Shout to RR for the exclusive.

Young Jeezy airs out DJ Drama

00_-_cover1

For months there has been speculation behind the beef between the two men who saw their popularity skyrocket with their 2005 mixtape, “Trap Or Die.”  In the newest issue of XXL, which touts Jeezy on the cover, the self proclaimed “trapper of the year” spoke on his current feelings towards “Mr. Thanksgiving.” Here’s an excerpt:

“Drama just started acting like a bitch. Drama wanted to be Khaled, but he didn’t want to help nobody. He just changed, period. Look at his crew. The same niggas ain’t around him. You ain’t never been in no streets. I could never have no beef with a nigga like that. He’s a cornball. You made millions off my mixtapes, to the point where the fuckin’ feds scooped you up for bootlegging. I never even made the money he made off of Trap or Die or Tha Streets Iz Watchin, because they were selling and distributing them and making money.

I’m not hating. But we will never do a mixtape together. I didn’t charge that nigga for [contributing a verse to the song “5000 Ones,” on Drama’s official Atlantic Records debut]. But then when I need [a tape for one of my artists], and you want to charge me $20,000?… I’ll slap the shit out of Drama. He knows that. He wasn’t loyal. But me putting my hands on that man ain’t gonna make him respect what I’m saying. I’m just not gonna fuck with him anymore. ”

On newsstands next week!

Drake To Return To Acting?

With an insane amount of anticipation surrounding his debut album, Thank Me Later, fans of thespian side of Drake may soon get their fix as well. First mentioned by Drake during his interview with KarenCivil.Com in October of 2008, the Canadian born entertainer is set to make his return to the acting world with a new sitcom series.

Toronto-based the Nightingale Company said Canadian actor and rap artist Aubrey Graham (“Degrassi: The Next Generation”) is to develop a new comedy series for the indie producer.

Graham, also known as the recording artist “Drake,” and fellow actor Mazin Eisadig (“The Line”) are to co-star in “Us and Them,” a sitcom about best buddies — and polar opposites – trying to make their way in the entertainment industry.

Currently, Drake is apart of the “America’s Most Wanted” tour with Soulja Boy, Young Jeezy and the rest of his Young Money crew. The next show is tonight (July 30) in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Nicki Minaj Wants To Turn Foxy Brown Out

I’m not sure how Karen feels about me posting potential lesbianistic (yes, I know that’s not a word) material, but I’ve been waiting to see this clip all day. And quite frankly it doesn’t disappoint. If you can’t tell what this is about by the title alone, then I really can’t help you. Just know I have a kool-aid grin across my face right now.

With KC going on tour with Young Money this summer/fall, I’m almost positive she’s going to put a word in for me. I hope.
