The Jay-Z Verse (Many Of) You Never Heard

On a Saturday afternoon which will find me away from the computer for the better part of the day, I decided to make an MP3 mix of random songs making the car ride slightly easier. Ranging from Pac to Eminem to T.I. to Trey Songz to Anthony Hamilton to Common to UGK to Jada, there happens to be a little bit of everything to my liking on this CD. Of course, there are a few Jay-Z records on there because honestly, what would I look like not putting some of his music on there? He has some of the best riding music of any artist to date.

However, during my play list arranging, I came across a Jay record I hadn’t heard in quite some time. Since Monday, January 16, 2006, to be exact. For those who remember Jay’s 1999 effort, Vol. 3, then you likely remember the intro with Jay spewing bars such as,

Jigga the shit, even when he rhyme in third person
Hova the God, I should be rappin with turban
Haters can’t disturb him, waiters can’t serve him
Mike Jordan of rap – outside J workin
Now watch how quickly I drop 50

Dope record, indeed. Add to the fact, Pain In Da Ass always delivered with classic commentary.

Yet, many have never heard the unreleased verse on this record or if they have, they’ve lost it over the years. For those who have been frequenting blog sites for years, this song is already in your collection, so consider this post null-in-void. For those still in the dark, this is for you. There was a second verse on “Hova’s Song” which wasn’t released at the time for whatever reason, but was found during the “Fade To Black” era. It’s been floating around the internet for years, but always managed to fall under the radar.

Only ranging 47 seconds in length, feel free to somehow mesh this with the original and send me a link.

DL: Jay-Z–Hova’s Song (lost verse)
