Lil Wayne – "Swag Surfin'" x "Wasted"

By now, we’ve all  heard the news regarding Wayne’s impending prison stint. Regardless if you’re a fan or not, it is the general consensus that Cita’s son has found himself as one, if not the most, successful artist of the last five years.  Think back to when he released “The Prefix” until now, he’s been nonstop with his musical output.  While I don’t expect much to change during the 8-12 months he’s behind bars, it is rough to see a talented young man have his career halted.

However, as Wayne himself would likely tell you, everything you do, every person you bring into your life will have an impact, albeit positive or negative.  It’d be easy for me to tell Weezy to keep his head up in this situation, but I’m not the one looking at the federal penal system in the fact. I also didn’t see the birth of a child with another one on the way. Without getting to personal, even in his absence his music will make it seem as if he’s still .

His upcoming mixtape, “No Ceilings”, drops on Halloween and it touts the return of the Carter many of his fans fell in love with, ‘the mixtape Weezy.’ The two tracks below are featured on the tape and, judging by the titles, you should already be able to tell what anthems he’s tackling.
