December 8 Is A Big Day
Between these three, I couldn’t begin to fathom how much “white” they’ve seen in their lifetime…you know, judging from their rhymes. Leaving their pasts out of the equation, we’ve finally got a visual to one of my personal favorite tracks of ’09. Malice and Pusha already bodied this record, so getting Ross to add his own 16 was only the icing on the cake…or shall I say “pie.”
As KC has been alluding to, December 8 is one of those days in the music industry where all the planets seem to be in alignment. Gucci, Snoop, Clipse and The Game are all set to release albums making for quite the purchase when I walk into Best Buy that Wednesday afternoon. Here’s my reasoning behind my upcoming retail rendezvous.
- Pusha & Malice are VA natives. I’ve got to support my own. I’m also pretty sure Til’ The Casket Drops will be worth my $8.99.
- He receives a lot of hate at times (some he deserves, some not), but I’ve always supported Game‘s music. I actually like all of his albums, so I expect The R.E.D. Album to fall right in line with the other three. Honestly, the namedropping doesn’t bother me. Go figure. Something tells me this MIGHT get pushed back. Don’t Quote me on that. UPDATE: I was right.
- With all the free music Gucci has been putting out for YEARS, The State vs. Radric Davis is a MUST COP. Plus, you’ve got to take into consideration, with all the anthems he’s given away on his mixtapes, the album has to be epic.
- Snoop is one of my favorite people ever (||). He’s got my money regardless with Malice In Wonderland.
Barack, see, I told you I’m down for the cause, big homie. I’m doing my part to give this economy a much needed breath of life. One store bought record at a time.
However, speaking of Ricky Ross, I hate to sound like the average blogger to throw around hate, but his Triple C’s homeboys only managed to scan 4,000 copies on their debut album, Custom, Cars & Cycles. No disrespect to them as men (and goons), but it all boils down to one key fact. They can’t rap. I’m just being honest. If Yung Berg bricked, these guys built the Great Wall. Don’t let it get to you though, Rick. You did your part. After the jump, watch 50 Cent’s emotional reaction to the news.
