"Speak Your Mind": Funk Flex x Don Cannon Sound Off Via Twitter

By now, we’ve all heard the stories of celebrities and their rants via Twitter. It’s an unfiltered outlet and quite frankly, that’s the best thing about it. None of those pre-determinted interview answers, what you see is what you get. Recently, legendary radio personality Funkmaster Flex and acclaimed producer Don Cannon let feelings be known on celebrities and all things of the sort on New Year’s.

Flex. He’s never been one to bite his tounge. His on-air rants throughout the years have become the stuff of legend. Remember when he was premiering “D.O.A.” last summer? Apparently he had some stuff he wanted to leave in 2009 and decided to get off his chest. Instead of me trying to paraphrase what was said, simply read for yourself. Kudos to Gyant for the picture(s).

Oh no. That’s not it.

Look, whether he was right or wrong for what he said is not for me to decide. I’m not an ethical thermometer, but I will say I respect the guy for speaking his mind. He might have lost a few friends for what he said, but I doubt that ranks high on his list of things to worry about.

Next up, Don Cannon. Unlike Flex, I can say that D.C. was pretty much dead on with this Twitter rant. In a nutshell, the producer proclaimed his annoyance with “fake celebrities” being put on a pedastal for reasons unknown to him and his frustration with gossip bloggers. Unfortunately, I don’t have any screen shots of his tweets, but feel free to see them all at his Twitter page.

Sounds about right if you ask me. He would go on to express himself more, but by now you get the gist. Good to see Twitter is still holding strong as we head into the new year. Again, if nothing else, you’ve got to appreciate the outlet because it allows you to see people’s true feelings on situations. Not that I go out of my way to see what any of these people think, but if they’re going to broadcast it on a public forum, by all means I’ll listen.
