Freddie Gibbs – "Crushin' Feelings"

“I’m way too deep in the streets to be beefing with a rapper…”
If 2009 was his official introduction, 2010 will likely serve as the year Gibbs makes monumental strides in the business. His flow and wordplay is on a level all it’s own. His laid back delivery on some of the hardest subjects in music result in a ghetto soulful feel. Hard to truly explain, but it allows for a connection with his music. Last year, “The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs,” “Midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik” and “The Labels Tryin To Kill Me” were all releases which exposed Gibbs a majority of outlets. His new project, “Str8 Killa No Filla,” looks to break down more barriers.
“Malcolm of the Mid’ probably more like Detroit Red…”
The first offering “Crushin’ Feelings” finds Gibbs over Statik Selektah’s “Stick To The Script.” The G’s second most famous musical resident lets his opinion be known on why he is one of the game’s most anticipated new stars and how he did it without a verse from Lil Wayne, Kanye West or “the fake Rick Ross.” You’ll find yourself in a zone as you listen to Freddie G run off bar after bar in damn near perfect rhythm. Gibbs in 2010. Don’t say I didn’t try to tell you last year.
