Alley Boy – "Throw It Up" (Video)
Alley Boy‘s tape, “Definition of Fuck Shit,” is going to go down as one of the harder tapes this year. I put my money on it. Truthfully, KC was the first one to introduce me to Alley Boy sometime last year when she wanted me to post a record he had with Gucci Mane. Ever since then, I’ve been finding more and more about Atlanta’s newest trapper-turnt-rapper. All you “pure lyricists” lovers may want to ignore this post. Alley isn’t the next coming of Rakim and he doesn’t try to be. Great riding music, that’s all I ask for.
What we have here is a visual for one of the tracks off the aforementioned mixtape. “Throw It Up” is exactly what you think it’s about. Alley Boy takes you on a tour of several hoods in Atlanta, from the kitchen to the curbs, all while having a blunt in hand and a ski mask on the face. My advice? Enjoy the ride. Blue rag, red rag, black flag…equal opportunity love is shown throughout this. Again, be on the lookout for Alley’s mixtape, “Definition of Fuck Shit,” coming soon hosted by Empire. I’ve said it before, but be on the look out for A.B. in 2K10.
Sidenote: Watching “Throw It Up” video gave me flashbacks of this…

I’m sorry but somehow I just couldn’t leave this post without commenting. KC I’ve been riding with your site for a few months now faithfully. But this post has struck me as one of the most ignorant post I’ve read on this site. Nothing against the writer, but this type of visual & music is detrimental to the Black community. Why are we always promoting thuggery & “trapping?” Me personally, I know good music to ride too, and Alley Boy isn’t welcome in the car with me & my college diploma.
