Trend: MINX Nails

Beyonce

Every once in a while there is a fashion forward look which piques the interest of the masses. Often these trends are made popular by famous personalities in the music and film industry. It appears that a new trend is in full effect in the year 2010 and it is called Minx Nails.

Say good bye to painted nails. Popular in sunny California, this eye catching trend involves placing hip and futuristic patterns on each individual nail and can lasts for weeks. Some celebs who have been caught tearing up the city with minx nails are Rihanna, won Best Rap Song with Jay-Z and Kanye West at The Grammy’s, wore customized “Minx Money” nails, applied by LA-based celebrity manicurist Kimmie Kyees, and Beyonce who chose special edition Golden Hologram Minx nails, applied by New York celebrity manicurist Lisa Logan.

However it is not only these music divas that have chosen minx nails as a fashion statement. Reality star Kim Kardashian chose minx nails as a perfect way to honor her main squeeze Saints Reggie Bush. At Sunday’s Superbowl game Kim rocked a custom made minx nail pattern which read Saints and the number 25 for Reggie’s jersey number. Now that’s what I call girlfriend devotion.
