Catalog Catch Up: Sean Garrett feat. Pharrell – "Patron"

Back in 2008, Sean Garrett released a largely unnoticed album in Turbo 919. I haven’t listened to it in its entirety in awhile, but I remember his Pharrell featured ode to a highly popular drink in particular. I’m always a fan of music I can vibe out to and “Patron” did just that. Obviously, with a Pharrell record, the first thing you’re going to pay attention to is the beat. I’m not even sure if P did it, but it sounds like something he’d do, so until I find out otherwise, I’m crediting P.

Next, the melody. Perfect compliment to the beat if you ask me. Seeing as how Sean is an experienced and successful songwriter and Pharrell just naturally makes great music, it wasn’t a surprise the replay value still rings true some two years later.
