J. Cole: "I want to be the first rapper in the NBDL."

If it makes any sense whatsoever, J. Cole has managed to keep a public low-profile in regards to the next few months of his life. For the most part, he’s a respected lyricist by both young and older artists and one who many believe has the capabilities to drop one of the better debut albums in recent memory. While many speculate, time is the only true answer to that question. We’ll here Cole’s album when he’s primed and ready.

In the meantime, Cole recently sat down with the good people at Good*Fella Radio to discuss a list of topics. Of course, the usual album talk and how he feels he’s gearing up to drop something that’ll certainly leave its mark on the game was discussed. Moving along, he also touches on a supposed beef with Drake. Personally, I’m not seeing a beef between the two, but nowadays any and everything is subliminal, so who really knows? Then again, the Internet has a mind of its own and will create something even if it isn’t really there.

The most interesting topics center around the game of basketball. Fayeteville’s own believes Kobe, Pau and company (the Lakers for the non-basketball savvy) will take home their second consecutive title. I’m still pissed at LeBron‘s early exit, but it’s enough talk about that going on, so I digress.  The Roc Boy also confessed he still has hoop dreams and that he’d love to be the first rapper in the NBDL one day. From what I hear, Cole is nice with the rock and if Master P can earn an opportunity, I’m not putting it past Cole.
