Video: Snoop Dogg In “The G-Connection”

Snoop Dogg is one of the coolest people to ever walk to the face of this planet. It’s just that simple. In a partnership with MetroPCS, the Doggfather released the second edition of his “G-Connection” series earlier today.

It’s episode 2 of the “The G-Conenction” as ReGGie, GreGG, and Snoop DoGGG put their best foot forward to woe the lovely Brittany Dailey. The videos, brought to you by MetroPCS and the 4G LTE Samsung Galaxy Indulge, also features rapper and producer Warren G and the man with the “Golden Voice,” Internet sensation Ted Williams. The videos were directed by Estevan Oriol, partner at SA Studios.

He gave Ted Williams a job. Man, that’s good stuff. In other news, here’s what you need to know about the “Indulge With Snoop Dogggg” Sweepstakes. One lucky person – possibly someone who is reading this right – will have the chance to win a VIP trip for two to Snoop’s summer concert. This includes airfare and incidentals, front-row tickets as well backstage passes. Also, the winner take home two Sansung Galaxy Indulge smartphones with MetroPCS 4GLTE service. For anything I may have missed, click here.

Kid Cudi & Wale seem to have both forgiven each other and decided to make amends. Cudi who reached out first via twitter with a simple “yo” to Wale, got a hasty response from the DC native with a simple “We Back Cuz.”

Video: French Montana & DJ Holiday Interview W/ True Stories Radio

French Montana and DJ Holiday sat down with True Stories Radio for what turned into revealing interview. The two dropped their Mister 16: Casino Life mixtape last week, but that was only the tip of the iceberg. Montana goes on to speak about a variety of subjects that have been running through his mind recently including being omitted from the 2011 XXL Freshman Class. According to him, it was never even a goal to begin with and that he is “past that.” The state of New York Hip-Hop is also something French is opinionated on and even went so far to toe tag the music claiming their trend-setting style is a thing of the past.

From there, he opens up about the reason for his change of rapping style, the wildest champagne pouring story he has, his relationship with Max B and more. Part two is after the jump.  (Keep reading…)

Video: Jay-Z – “Evolution Of My Style”

It is a great day in the world when Jay-Z can wear the “Calvin from Paid In Full” glasses. In this clip, Hov opens up about his style/thought process of making music and how it is has progressed throughout the years.

Speaking of style in a fashion sense, I still say the “jersey” era could have lived at least another year had he never uttered the lines, “And I don’t wear jerseys, I’m 30 plus/Gimme a crisp pair of jeans, n*gga button up…”

Sidenote: This video can also be found on Jay’s Decoded iPhone application.

Video: Lady Gaga – “Born This Way”

The clip was directed by Nick Knight, along with Lady Gaga, the Haus of Gaga creative team and choreographer Laurieann Gibson.

The pop star confirmed last week that she will unleash another “Born This Way” video as well. The second version, she says, “is a more stripped-down version of the song that will be released on iTunes and also released as an audio file. A portion of the money raised selling the song is actually going to go towards an anti-bully charity.”

Born This Way” is avaible now for free with a pre-order of the Born This Way album from Target.com, and you can also snag the single on iTunes.

Lloyd’s “King Of Hearts” Guest Features Include Andre 3000, Lil Wayne And More

I cannot speak for everyone when I say Lloyd’s music is, for the most part, enjoyable. Is he the greatest artist R&B has ever seen? Not even, but that also isn’t to say he does not release quality material. I bet no one remembers “Cadillac Love” or “Feels So Right” from the first album. Or even Street Love, the entire album. Nevermind, I’m getting off topic, but you get the point.

It seems like we have been hearing about his new album King Of Hearts for months now with Polow Da Don even referring to it as a “classic.” Throughout my years of listening to music, I have come to find out people who say projects are classic are rarely right and it is best just to let the music speak for itself.

Still, I am ready to hear the LP because I know, if nothing else, it will be – and here’s that word again – quality. VIBE caught up with the southern-bred crooner and managed to get him to speak about those riding shotgun. R. Kelly and Keri Hilson (“World Cry”), Trey Songz (“Be The One”), and Chris Brown (“Love Me Girl”) will help in sharing the singing loads, but it is one track in particular which will feature two of Hip-Hop’s most respected lyricists which has YG especially excited.

But perhaps the LP’s most buzzed about collaboration will be the Lil’ Wayne and Andre 3000 assisted “Miss That Pu**y”. The tongue-in-cheek cut has a retro ‘50s sound with explicit lyrics, detailing the aftermath of a female’s infidelity—particularly on her lower regions.

“I liked the way it used to be,” a, um, tightlipped Lloyd told VIBE of the track’s anatomical focus. He hadn’t yet heard the cameo verses by Wayne or Andre, who both appeared coincidentally, on different versions of Lloyd’s 2006 hit, “You”.

Prepare yourself to hear the claims of Dre’s verse being the “verse of the year” within five minutes of the track being made available. Whether it is or it isn’t, people anticipate new music from that guy like I anticipate LeBron getting a ring; probably even more. The album is scheduled to hit shelves April 19.

Tyga – “Lap Dance” (Prod. By Lex Luger)

Tyga is set to launch the second installment of his mixtape series “Black Thoughts” which will be hosted by DJ Ill Will, as usual. This time Tyga goes in over the production of Lex Luger, who has been all over the place with his production lately. No set date on the mixtape, but it shouldn’t be long.
