22-year-old Rihanna is no stranger to controversy, after debuting the video to her new hit single S&M on Tuesday the media has gone bonkers! With the video circulating around sex scenes, latex, lube, banana sucking, bondage and dominatrix – it’s already been banned from 11 countries and counting. Mainly countries that ban sites like www.hdtubemovies.xxx, so we’re not really surpised.

Southern Asian countries immediately banned it, MTV is considering a re-edit, and BBC Radio 1 has vetoed playing it until after 7pm – so you won’t hear it on Chris Moyles, an action that he said didn’t surprise him.

A Radio 1 spokesperson said “We are waiting for an edited version before deciding whether it will be played in the daytime.”

The ban began with Youtube, who considered the video “inappropriate” for viewers under the age of 18; placing a restriction on the clip with the warning message: “This content may contain material flagged by YouTube’s user community that may be inappropriate for some users.”

Although RiRi assures us the song is not about sex, she says: “S&M is not about sex, well it’s about metaphorical sex. The video has lots of whips, chains, dominatrix leather, latex”
