A little over a month ago, Nicki Minaj‘s boss Lil Wayne officially hit double platinum on the fourth installment of his Tha Carter series and now it’s her turn. Nicki’s debut album “Pink Friday” is officially double platinum. I think it’s safe to say that Nicki Minaj and the entire YMCMB family had one hell of a year. Congrats to Nicki and the rest of the family. Be on the lookout for her sophomore album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” dropping on Valentines Day.

A$AP Rocky and the A$AP crew all were in South Beach for A$AP Rocky’s first ever headlined show at Grand Central. Not only did he perform a few songs off of his Live.Love.A$AP mixtape but he decided to surprised the crowd with a brand new track. No information on the track has been released but I’m hoping it’s for a new project that is in the works. The quality of the song isn’t too well due to the excess bass but I’m sure this will not be the last time he performs it.

Where the original featured Tune, Maino doubles up with the remix to his Rick Ross-sampled “Cream” with longtime collaborator T.I. and one of 2012′s more anticipated artists, Meek Mill. And where most do-overs fail to live up to the hype, the new verses from Tip and Meek are welcomed, high energy and about as braggadocios as you’re going to get with Clifford claiming to wear his diamonds like his felonies. Ignorant? Yes, but who cares?

We’ll see if the coming year is when Maino releases his sophomore set ironically entitled, The Day After Tomorrow. For now, he’s got a dope remix under his belt. Let’s see if he and his team push this record. A video would be nice.

Erica Mena of VH1′s Love & Hip-Hop is a name that has become popular in only a matter of a few days. If you watch the television show, you would have seen why as the Bronx, NY native is quite a physical force to reakon with. Video vixen Dollicia Bryan has been rumored to be coupled with various men, but she put rumors to rest, as she confirmed that she was officially dating Drake. Dollicia, who has been with Bow Wow, Rob Kardashian and Hill Harper, had her rep confirm to the YBF that she is exclusively dating the rapper.

Yesterday the couple headed to Saddle Ranch in LA, Drizzy even took it as far to Instagram a picture of his boo eating cotton candy.

People joke about it all the time, but Jeezy actually lost a friend because someone took someone else’s 140 characters on Twitter far too serious. Like eskay mentioned, it’s not all that surprising someone was killed over Twitter because people have died for less before and will do so in the future. I remember on the news awhile back this guy killed this girl because she never looked at him in school. It doesn’t make sense, but when did life ever really?

As sad as it sounds, Twitter just happens to be another outlet for people to make horrible decisions. I feel what Jeezy’s saying though. It should be for networking and having a good time. Instead, this is what happens when thugging (or what people perceive “thugging” to be) goes viral.

According to Pollstar’s Top 25 Worldwide Tours of 2011, Rihanna lands at No. 7 grossing $90 million. RiRi took on 99 shows in 78 cities and averaged $75 per ticket during the six-month tour. She beat out Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry. Switching gears to Hip-Hop, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s legendary Watch the Throne tour grossed $48.3 million with only 35 shows. I know we was talking Rihanna, but Taylor Swift is killing the game grossed over 104 million. Selling out back to back shows in the same city… Cray! Check out the whole list below:
