Growing up I lived a topical middle-class life. I lived at home with both parents and on the outside looking in everything was fine. Looks can be very deceiving because home life was everything but okay. Until the age of 14 I was in denial about my father’s drug abuse which lead to the separation of my parents. In the midst of dealing with the separation my father was murder and to this day it is still unsolved. I thought that this was definitely the end for me I could not take on anymore stress or heartache. I began a downward spiral into a life that could have destroyed me but by the grace of God, a wise mother, and countless prayers of others I began to put the broken pieces of my life back together. After falling several times I have gotten back onto the straight and narrow path of success as I began my college endeavors. My dream of someday becoming a defense attorney is very accessible now. Looking back to where I’ve been pushes me even closer to where I’m going. Ambitiously Civil is an understatement to the woman am I now and the woman God is preparing me to be.

I embody the term ambitiously civil everyday. A full time student and employee trying to make my dreams come true. Ever since I can remember music has been my solice, my best friend, my heart and I won’t stop until I break into the industry. People always tell me that dreams are childish and I should try to get a normal 9-5, I refuse. I’m scared of what lies ahead but im even more scared of my dream being deferred. I breathe music, I live music, I love music and when you love that hard it’s impossible to give up.
