Long, long ago, on an Internet far, far away, Blake Kelly made his first appearance around these parts. Since then, Kelz, much like any artist attempting to get their career off the ground, has encountered false starts, but none strong enough to deter the mission. Now, however, all the pieces appear to be in place as all systems are pushing forward for Blake in late 2012 leading into the new year.
To help cap off the calendar campaign, the newly minted California resident drops off a new project entitled 9 For The Universe. Sticking to the number in the title, Universe clocks in at only nine tracks (10, if you include a bonus) for what should be a quick and possibly what you deem enjoyable and eccentric listen. Production from Al B Smoov, Closer LA-based Ya Money and more help provide the foundation for Kelly to wax poetics about the women, weed and whatever else is taking place in his life at the moment.
