Jacob Banks is the latest edition to the UK music scene, the 21 year old self taught guitarist singer songwriter’s appeal is across the board with his enriched tones and heavily personalised, unconventional writing skills. Having been heavily influenced by Motown the edgy singer fuses modern sounds with classic retro textures to bring you ‘Dear Simone’, the captivating emotive proves how exceptional this young man is.

In anticipation of The Monologue EP Jacob Banks released the visuals to heavily rotated ‘Kids On The Corner’ all over radio, from having the Record of the Day spot on BBC Radio 1 with Zane Lowe to DJ Target and CJ Beatz BBC 1Xtra. The song is an ode to the London Riots of last year. Its a testament of the effects it had on the youths all over the UK and offers an alternative.
