Shyne Speaks On 1999 Shooting and More In Video

Shyne has made headlines for himself late by first attacking Kendrick Lamar’s album good kid, m.A.A.d. city, stating it as trash opposed to those who see it as potentially album of the year and also currently engaged in a war of words with The Game. Now he sat down in an interview to speak on the 1999 shooting which landed him in prison. Check what he said to say after the jump…

In the interview, which was conducted by booska-p.com, Shyne provided insight on what lead him to serving time in the Clinton Correctional Facility. When speaking of the shooting Shyne stated that his response during the incident was of self-defense.

Shyne expressed his self-defense actions by stating, “One of those people tried to shoot me. You know what I’m saying? One of those people tried to shoot me.” He also expressed sentiments toward his “homegirl” Tanya Ruben for being harmed in the incident.

Also in the interview Shyne spoke on those who testified against him, people who are real within their rap verses and what’s wrong with current rappers.
