Landing a co-sign from the legendary B!nk is noteworthy regardless of what level of the game you’re in. Doing so before you even graduate college is something totally different. Hampton University senior Shakari “TRAKGIRL” Boles did just that with a future already appearing to be headed in the right direction.
With artists like Kevin Cossom, Phil Ade, Khleo Thomas and more, TRAKGIRL’s most recent placement was “Ode To Tae” found Omarion’s (still under the radar) Care Package EP. The look above is a well-produced and edited focus on the ins-and-outs of a young producer still attempting to create her own lane while celebrating what she’s accomplished thus far.
I hate the term “femcee” so labeling Boles a “female producer” would be short changing her. She’s a young lady who happens to produce. Straight like that. And anyone who can gain the respect of B!nk, they’re doing something right – male or female. Watch the video and if finding yourself impressed is the next thought to come to mind, be sure to hit her up on Twitter.
Knowing what you want out of life at 22 is a blessing. Much respect to those who do. TRAKGIRL is one of them.
