New-age fans of Hip-Hop may not be familiar with the name Tim Dog. Those who’ve been around for more than a decade, however, the name rings bells for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately, the 46-year-old MC from the Bronx is no longer with us after passing away following the effects of a seizure brought on by his long battle with diabetes.
Timmy’s “Fuck Compton,” which was one of the more recognizable records of the ’90s for obvious reasons, is what will endear him to most rap heads. Yet, the catalog stems much, much further than the aforementioned record highlighted by his debut Penicillin On Wax.
Still, that’s info every site has provided when reporting Tim Dog’s passing. All notable info, indeed. But more importantly, hopefully this will serve as a means to promote diabetes awareness which is a devastating ailment. Maybe not though.
