[News] Frank Ocean 11 Songs Through Second Album? Collabs With Pharrell, Danger Mouse & More

The Grammy Award winning R&B contemporary album of the year recipient, Frank Ocean, is not done with music despite rumors that the Odd Future singer would quit. Ocean is currently in the UK for the Brit Awards (the British version of the Grammy’s) and made a few press stops to let everyone know what he’s up to. The “Pink Matter” crooner tells BBC Radio 1 that he is in fact, “11 songs into this next thing”. Read more on this story and check out who Frank Ocean might be working with after the jump!

After his crowd aweing performance of Forrest Gump (whether good or bad), Frank is definitely one of the music industries latest go-to writers and singers. Frank has penned records for Jay Z, Kanye West, Beyoncé and more… and is now bringing in collabs from big timers such as Pharell for his sophomore follow-up. In the picture below, you can catch Ocean in the studio with Pharell, set to work for a few joints.

Frank tells us the new album, “It’s another cohesive thing bordering on a concept record again,”. He then goes onto say that he is continuing the second album as a connection to the last song “Golden Girl” on CHANNEL Orange– “It’s this beach scene and I kind of want to extend that feeling into the next record … I’m going to take [my recording equipment] to Bora Bora and work for a few weeks.”  Not only is Frank stopping there, he is also set to bring some features and production from Danger Mouse on the album as well.
