Last night in New York City, Smirnoff Vodka brought their live television experience with VH1 to life. Held at the famous Marquee night club, Smirnoff’s “Master of The Mix” Season 3 DJ experience was well underway, and KarenCivil.com got some great access to the up close and personal live DJ jam sessions. Accompanied by a unique open bar, cocktails with the witty names “Vinyl Collection”, “BackSpin” and more, all attendees got the opportunity to  preview Master of the Mix season 3, premiering April 1 on VH1. Guests that were in attendance, hitting the red carpet in complete style, were Kid Capri, Ben Madahi, VH1′s Black Ink Crew, Charlotte Ronson, Mia Moretti, Amanda Seales..even a very unexpected Sway Calloway stopped by for a DJ booth appearance  Check out some photos from the live event after the jump!

Safe to say that the biggest news of today was that one of the biggest shows in music and pop culture leaving Tinseltown to head back East to the newest landmark of New York City. MTV announced early this afternoon that the 30th Annual MTV Video Music Awards scheduled for Sunday, August 25th, 2013 will be held at Brookyln’s own Barclays Center. For more info, hit the jump.

In case your channels were tuned in somewhere else, tonight was the airing of BET’s annual Rip The Runway Fashion Show; a show that highlights the latest in fashion trends from designers like Louboutin & Moschino. The show also collides with the hottest in music, where superstar singers and rappers perform right alongside models strutting down the runway. This years show was hosted by the beautiful Kelly Rowland and Real Husbands of Hollywood star Boris Kodjoe. Where isn’t Justin Timberlake popping up? With his album The 20/20 Experience set to release this week JT has been doing performances of various tracks from the album at a variety of spots. Future is continuing to take over the Hip-Hop world with each move that he makes. Down in Austin the SXSW festival is in full swing and the ATL artist made a stop by the Fader Fort Stage and performed a set that would for sure get all of your energy in it. Future ran through his catalog of hits from the streets, charts and features giving the crowd a entertaining performance from beginning to end. Adding to this great weekend for Future is the release of the the new track “Usual”. The track is produced by Drumma Boy and will be featured on his new mixtape. This week there will be plenty of news coming from Austin, Texas this week as some of the biggest artist in the country will be performing as a part of South by Southwest (SXSW). SXSW will feature various concerts and panels showcasing music.  To kick off the events in Texas, Houston artist Bun B linked up with All-Star Producer Just Blaze and performed his verse from the Jay-Z track “Big Pimpin’” as well as provided a tribute Pimp C by performing his verse as well.
