Live from Jungle Studios, before introducing his artist off his We the Best Music label./Def Jam Recording artist Ace Hood, DJ Khaled spoke about their road to Ace Hood’s 3rd album “Blood, Sweat & Tears” set to drop August 9th. Before each track Ace Hood gave details of what each song meant and what was the driving force behind them, from his most personal songs on the album such as “Spoke to my Momma” coming from a real conversation he had with his mother about the struggles that consist between both their lives, to his summer street anthem “Go N Get It & Hustle Hard” which we also got a sneak listen to the remix of “Hustle Hard” that’s not set to drop until next week. affiliate Def Jam Artist Fabolous along with Murda Mook & Actor Hassan Johnson the Wire stopped by to support Ace Hood on his album.

On April 24^th Vado- Diplomat’s newest solider- came thru to kick it with the DJ Self and Kimmi Cupcakes on VIP Saturdays Shade45  and blessed the listeners with a freestyle.

A few days ago Karen uploaded a photo of Travis Barker and Clipse in the studio. All I know now is they were working on material for Travis Barker’s upcoming compilation album. That got me to thinking, however. A solo album from one of music’s most famous drummer would be a welcomed edition to the summer (or fall) of 2010.

You see, Barker is an interesting blend. He’s not completely rock and he’s not completely hip-hop, but yet, somehow he finds a happy medium. His relationship with Game is already known and finding Weezy on the final tracklist may not be too far fetched. But since I have your attention right now, here’s a list of five artists I’d like to see T.B. work with.

1. N.E.R.D. - For some reason, I think this combination would be amazing. Travis’ drums + N.E.R.D.’s vocals could very well equal a monster hit. It’s different, but I’m almost positive it could work. Yeah, I know he’s already been in the studio with Pharrell, but I still want to make sure this happens.

2. T.I. – Tip’s quiet right now, but that’s ok. I guarantee by the end of June your favorite website will be plastered with T.I. music, news and videos. It’d be great if the trapper-turnt-rapper could find a drum selection of Barker’s which complimented his flow. I mean, it worked on King.

3. Freddie Gibbs – Here’s the thing, Freddie’s flow is versatile enough to dismantle any beat. And that’s another thing, he also has a great ear for beats. I’m sure, over the right Travis Barker creation, we could be looking at Freddie’s first mainstream hit. Just an idea for the future.

4. Shyne - I know you’re thinking this could probably never work. But with a slow hard hitting instrumental added with some drums from Barker and Moses Michael Levy could have his first noteworthy track post-prison. It’d have to be something grimey though. None of that “let’s-go-to-the-club-and-be-superstars” stuff.

5. Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa -  This could be a stoner’s anthem.

Tons of more artists could have fit this list, but in the interest of time, five seemed suitable. I’m a realist, so expecting any of these artists to make the final cut is slim to none. But, if one of them do, best believe I’m taking credit of being .00000002% of the reason it happened. Regardless of who ultimately finds their way on T.B.’s album, the music will stand on his own. I’m almost sure of it.

If you’re like me and never been to Cali and have no clue what Slauson looks like, consider this your tour guide. Unlike other tapes, this was orginally purchase only. Dispute it all you want, but I can’t get mad if Nipsey wants to make a small piece of change off his work. Click here to purchase the tape.

With the general gone for a year and a day,  Young Dro must assume the reigns to the Grand Hustle ship.  Hopefully, this ranks as a sign of things to come. With hit records and a successful solo album under his belt, hopefully we see P.O.L.O. more sooner than later. Earlier today,  Dro co-signed this mixtape on Twitter.
