In recent fashion fix news, the newly emerged line “Audacity Republic” has been well underway releasing their new 2013 ”Kings & Queens” collection. The lifestyle fashion line has been manifested behind the brand of “Kings & Queens who control their own destiny”. Embracing the edge of urban culture, Audacity Republic’s creative director Tammy Pusher has released both a men’s and women’s line, that both pay homage to prominent figures in culture. Featuring men’s t-shirts embedded with phrases such as “Control Your Own Destiny” and “King of All Masters” (available in gold, black and white) down to their women’s T-Shirt collection which merges the essence of African-American beauty, paying respect to Dorothy Dandridge through their Marilyn Monroe collaboration. This summer is definitely set to heat up, as Reggae artist Mavado recently signed back to DJ Khaled’s “We The Best” label imprint; and will be releasing a ton of new music to the streets. Today, Mavado drops the new track “Rise Up” that features Kovict’s Akon and Rick Ross. Rising up against controversy and people’s discouragement, Rise Up is definitely an inspiration to dancehall artists across the board. Check out the new track after the jump.

Though we’re sure by now that everyone’s heard the quick snippet of Hova’s new track “100$ Bill,” Warner Bros. has released a brief teaser of “The Great Gatsby”, featuring Jay-Z’s new track. The song in full (at least we hope) can be heard on the soundtrack for the upcoming film which was also scored by Jay himself. This snippet is much shorter, but still dope to see it in tandem with the film. The soundtrack will also feature collabs from Fergie, Will. I. Just two weeks ago, KarenCivil.com had the opportunity to take our camera’s live on the road. We caught up with seasoned rap veteran Bleu Davinci‘s most recent signee Tabius Tate and followed his journey to headline the BET Music Matter’s Showcase at S.O.B.’s in New York City. The all inclusive behind the scenes footage features Tabius’s event appearances, touring life, an intimate setting interview and rehearsal show footage; all leading to his closing show performance at the famous New York City music venue. Smoke Again? Of course we will. Chance The Rapper hits us now with his back seat video to “Smoke Again” featured on his sophomore project “AcidRap”. Marijuana inspired? Of course  the new cut features Ab-Soul who hops in the video to smoke up aside Chance in this IllRoots directed cut. Bad Boy rapper King Los, fresh off the New York City Webster Hall stage is back to release another nice visual from his “Becoming King” mixtape drop. The cut is titled “OD”, which is taken directly in context in the video, as there is an overly excessive amount of cash featured throughout the Sony Digital directed clip. Lux whips, exotic women and an extremely lyrical Los make up the visual “OD”, which you can watch after the jump!
