We’re loving the look — and can’t wait to see the ELLE cover it’s for. Though we can’t help but wonder what made the mag want to see a tow-headed Ri-Ri. So far this year, all three of ELLE’s cover stars (January’s Katherine Heigl, February’s Reese Witherspoon, and March’s Blake Lively) have been blonde.

To close out the year, The Source Magazine has officially released the cover for both of their year end magazine where Rick Ross is named Man Of The Year and Good Music’s Big Sean is named Rookie Of The Year. Both artist had great years and deserve to be given the Rookie Of The Year as well as Man Of The Year. Magazine hits newsstands December 27th, be sure to pick both up.

With the release of his Radioactive album just a few days away, Yelawolf and his Shady Records boss Eminem graze the cover of the year end issue of Vibe. The other issue will be covered by T.I., and both magazines will hit shelves on December 6th. Below is an excerpt from the interview with Eminem & Yelawolf where they speak on their past history with drugs.

You mentioned getting yourself right. Are you completely clean these days as far as alcohol and drugs?
EM: Except for the heroin I shot up this morning. Except for that, I’m clean. [Laughs]

While you’re clean, Yelawolf here smokes weed and—
Yelawolf: No, I don’t.

I hear that in your music a lot.
YW: I started smoking weed at 11. By 12, I was smoking dust. Thirteen, acid, Freon, special k, mushrooms; 16 years old, I was selling X pills at school. Not even because I was a good dope boy, but because I was a scumbag. It was called chocolate chip, and it had heroin in it. I used to take that shit and go to class. I went so heavy into drugs that I had a bad trip one time that lasted for months.

The man of the hour, Drake is more than likely going to be all over the place with the release of his sophomore album Take Care hitting stores tomorrow. Above he is featured on the cover of next months Complex Magazine. In this issue, Drake speaks and comments on everything to his fame and what he fears. A few excerpts from the magazine are below. Joe La Puma tweeted this picture earlier today of a recent purchase. Even when negative news about Jay-Z surfaces – the Occupy All Streets t-shirt tidbit – he seems to find a way to dilute it with something positive. GQ awards Jay as the cover boy for their coveted “Men Of The Year” issue and pending what he’s done this calendar year, it makes sense. 2011 has been rather good to Hov with some of his more impressive feats being a platinum album with Kanye West, his understudy J. Cole having the #1 album in the country and, most importantly, the news he will become a father for the first time.

Mac Miller is four days away from the November 8 release of his debut album Blue Slide Park and this week the Pittsburg native landed on the cover of Billboard, as “The Newest Face of The New Music Business.” The cover story charts Miller’s rise to Internet fame, from performing shows local shows—“I think I’ve performed for two people before. Like, literally, two people”— to the present, where he’s predicted to sell 100K units during his first week on the charts. At the core of Miller’s story is the decision to stick with his indie label Rostrum Records (helmed by CEO Benjy Grinberg) instead of inking a deal with the majors, like his label mate Wiz Khalifa.

Miller, on the message in his music: “I’ll never pretend I have an inspiring story like certain people,” he says. “There are people here to tell inspiring stories, people like Kendrick Moore or Big K.R.I.T. who have deep messages about things that . . . I can’t say. It’s not my place to say . . . I just make music that’s hip-hop. I’m not here to be a teenybopper sensation. I make music because I love making music. So whoever wants to love it, that’s who I want as my fans.”

Miller, on his 21-and under fan base: “Kids-they’re so much more excited and willing to spend their money,” he says. “A 25-year-old dude is not going to be sitting at his computer, waiting for Mac Miller tickets to go on sale. These kids are lining up at 10 a.m. for a 9 p.m. show.”

Grinberg, on the decision to remain indie: “We’ve learned a lot about the ins and outs of the majors and how different things operate [through working with Khalifa],” Grinberg says. “We try to apply those lessons to everything we do . . . I’m not on some sort of revolutionary [anti-major] kick. I just know there are better ways of doing things.”

For the 14^th annual Power 30 issue The Source opted to go the route of young power in featuring Grammy nominated recording artist and actor Drake as the cover subject. In the November issue of the magazine Drake talks about inspirations, his upbringing, his music and more in an 8-page-long feature story penned by controversial former EIC of The Source, Kim Osorio.

Just weeks before the release of his sophomore effort Take Care, Drizzy further acknowledges that the throne is for the taking.

“When I was a kid trying to figure out what I liked, it was [Kanye] who I related to the most. He was an artist, in every sense, from his cover art to his music. Now, I would say he was a really great competitor….”

Also at the heart of this month’s issue is our 14^th annual Power 30 list, which ranks the most prominent earners, tastemakers and influencers of the past year in Hip-Hop. In addition to the always much discussed list, The Source also compiled its first ever Digital 30 ranking to acknowledge those who are at the forefront of the web space in the Hip-Hop culture.

GQ Magazine has named Eminem & Lil Wayne the “Gods Of Rock” for the “The Survivor” November issue. They share the cover with Keith Richards and a slew of other artists. Issue hits stands October 25!
