There is some new music making it’s way to the women side of Hip-Hop. As one of the greatest females to touch the mic, Eve is continuing to place more power to her comeback. With her album Lip Lock set to drop on May 14^th, Eve is doing appearances and dropping videos consistently. Showing off a short hair cut and a yellow fitted dress, last night Eve appeared on Jimmy Fallon to perform “Make It Out This Town” with a little help from Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship. A few weeks back, we had initially posted the “behind the scenes” trailer of what Hip Hop would call quite a special episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life. Airing on Oprah Winfrey’s “OWN Network”, Iyanla Vanzant is the host and life counselor of the show where she delves deep into the lives of some of the most hurt, scorned or mentally unstable people who just happen to be in the business of entertainment. Well this time by request, Iyanla sits down with rapper DMX. Supposedly sitting down so DMX can come to a resolve of why he can’t help but sleep with multiple women, the intervention session takes a turn into the rappers drug addiction, his confused childhood and the demons that he fights daily. Last night, the duo of Wale and Tiara Thomas visited the Jimmy Fallon show and performed the smash hit “Bad“. If you missed the news, Wale is set to release his third solo album (2nd under MMG) “The Gifted” on June 25th.

Safe to say that the biggest news of today was that one of the biggest shows in music and pop culture leaving Tinseltown to head back East to the newest landmark of New York City. MTV announced early this afternoon that the 30th Annual MTV Video Music Awards scheduled for Sunday, August 25th, 2013 will be held at Brookyln’s own Barclays Center. For more info, hit the jump.

With Justin Timberlake’s album set to release on March 15^th, JT returned to his comedy stomping grounds and hosted this week’s Saturday Night Live. Along with comedy skits and his hosting duties, Justin Timberlake also provided a little promotion for the album by performing the 20/20 Experience single “Suit & Tie” which included a full live band and a Jay-Z appearance.
