What a crazy weekend it has been! I just returned home from Coachella 2012, which was packed with so many surprises. Throughout this weekend, I was fortunate enough to see Frank Ocean, who was socially awkward onstage and hopefully has a better stage presence next week. Childish Gambino, who I’ve become an instant fan of after watch him put on an amazing performance. The-Weeknd, sounded amazing and definitely had the crowd enjoying every moment., and last but not least, Dr. Dre set was incredible! Warren G, 50 Cent, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg coming out to grace the stage with Dre was the highlight of the Coachella festival.  To view the rest of my images, visit and follow my Instagram at KarenCivil.

This isn’t exactly a “rare” picture of the late Christopher Wallace. The shot has actually made its rounds on the Internet, just not in the manner some of the more popular pics of the King Of New York has. B.I.G. breaking down weed before rolling it in a blunt is about as quintessential Frank White as it comes in terms of visuals.

For as charming as he was when speaking to the fairer sex, he was, for lack of a better term, as hood and as ignorant as he wanted to be. That, combined with his rare ability to piece words together not many before or after have been able to master, is the reason he remains as revered now as he was during his heyday of the mid 1990′s. Wiz wasn’t the first rapper to smoke while he was driving.

featuredkirko

Last night, Kirko Bangz shot the remix video for his hit song Drank In My Cup featuring 2 Chainz and Juelz Santana. The shoot took place at an undisclosed apartment location in Brooklyn, New York, starting with Juelz shooting his scene and Kirko wrapping things up. With the usual set essentials of lots of girls, Ciroc, and ambition, we’re told the video is bound to be something special. Check out a few more exclusive photos from the set below.

MGK A$AP KarenCivil-01

A$AP Rocky’s recent opinion of XXL’s Freshman list, allegedly kicked off a beef between himself and rapper Machine Gun Kelly. In a recent Interview, A$AP stated:

“Personally, I’ma speak my mind, I think a lot of the motherf-ckers on the list are corny as f-ck. Shout out to Danny Brown. I think a few people on there are eligible for it and I think that they deserve to be on that cover.”

Rumors continued over this past weekend at SXSW, as the two shared what seemed like a heated conversation, which added to the controversy. However, Peter Rosenberg‘s pretty much ends all speculation with the photo taken above, which tells a completely different story.
