According to sources, media mogul Nick Cannon has purchased the historic Soul Train brand for an undisclosed amount. We’re told that Nick is looking to revitalize the brand and bring some much needed music entertainment back to television.

With Cannon’s ties to TeenNick, MTV and NBC—where he signed a production deal in November—it’ll be interesting to see where Soul Train finds its new home
