KarenCivil.Com Raps It Up With Chase N Cashe On “Charm”

KarenCivil.Com got the chance to chop it up with West Coast rapper Chase N Cashe last night, and it was nothing less than complete chaos. The entire evening filled with poured up drinks, some of the dopest editors, and music blasting wall to wall from Cashe’s latest releases “CHARM” was such a refreshing surprise from the rather upscale, snobby & cliche listening party. In the post-LeBron James era, Cleveland has been searching for a new King to replace the aforementioned James.  The crown (not Throne) is now up for the taking and it seems the guy who wants to take over that role is Charles Worth, aka Chip Tha Ripper aka King Chip. Born in the ghetto slums of east Cleveland, Ohio, the Cleveland native – who’s best buds with Kid Cudi and has been featured on the highly-successful album Man on The Moon as well as Cudi’s latest track off Indicud, Just What I Am — has been making buzz for himself throughout the past few years and created a cult-like following from the undegrounds as well as the mainstream America with the release of past mixtapes such as The Cleveland Show and Independence Day. However, having already dropped several mixtapes in the previous years, don’t tell King Chip what his sound is. Some praise him for his previous use of the Chopped n’ Screwed style but now, we can all give him props for creating “Audio Gold” for our ears to listen.

Swizz Beatz Dismisses Bangladesh Diss

Bangladesh made some headlines this week when claiming that Swizz Beatz was “irrelevant”. While on the set of a Slaughterhouse video, the power couple husband, father, businessman, and acclaimed artist told Thisis50 that he’s strictly all about positivity. “Don’t let this clown pump y’all up,” expressed Beatz. For footage of the brief interview, hit the jump. If you ask me, Bangladesh was just trying to get relevant himself with this one.

Rosa Acosta can play a bunch of different roles. Dancer (she started ballet at the age of four at the Centro de la Cultura in Santiago, Dominican Republic and graduated with honors from the ICA and the Ballet School of Norma Garcia), model (obviously), and fitness-extraordinaire. Another role she plays –literally– is co-star of HOT97′s newest show, Los Blancos, a drama, action-packed web series where she plays Sophia Blanco alongside co-star Shakur Sozahdah, who plays the role of Sophia’s sister, Yasmine Blanco. The story is based on two sisters taking over the family cocaine business in a male-dominated trade after their father died. Throughout the series, both Sophia and Yasmine encounter various roadblocks with the boys and end up in some deep trouble, as well as causing some trouble themselves. Directed by Yolande Geralds, the series premieres on HOT 97 TV every Wednesday at noon. KarenCivil.com caught up with the multi-talented Acosta last week to speak with her regarding the series, her Dominican roots, and her goals of becoming a future chef. Check out the rest of the interview after the jump.
