With June appearing to be the heavy month in terms of album releases, let us not forget Clifford Harris is already locked in for August 24. Tip, who has been relatively quiet since his release, is preparing to hit the ground sprinting in the coming weeks. His collab mixtape with DJ Drama, ironically title Fuck A Mixtape, is dropping soon and The King recently caught up with Rolling Stone to discuss King Uncaged and the impact it could potentially have.

For those familiar with T.I.’s music, it serves as no shock that Tupac was always one of his more revered prophytes. He went on to explain that his new album may conjure memories of Shakur’s 1996 post-prison-proclamation, All Eyez On Me.

“This is the most significant return from incarceration that the game has had since then,” T.I. says. “Just given the enormous success of that project, everyone’s expecting the same results. I just want to meet the expectations, if not surpass them.”

Since I embarked on this online Hip-Hop writing venture some two years ago, I’ve been honored to met a few people in high places. Karla Moy, better known as hustleGRL, is one of them. To put it lightly, she more than lives up to her name. Designing covers for everyone, including Weezy’s No Ceilings, running Drake’s official fansite and Weezy’s blog, it’s easy to forget she still hasn’t graduated from high school. And to think, at 17, my crowning achievement was winning “Homecoming King” and being accepted to college a year early. I was such a slacker.

Karla’s expanding her hustle to television now. On this MuchMusic segment that aired yesterday, Miss Moy gave the break down on a list of topics including:

To be quite honest, I haven’t heard the full 20 minutes of Game’s recent marathon “400 Bars.” Apparently, he mentioned something about Jay Rock which quickly got back to his fellow Blood brother. Even mentioned Cube for good measure. If you’re unfamiliar with that situation, Ice Cube recently performed a song entitled “Drink The Kool Aid” in which many interpreted several of his lines directed towards Dr. Dre. Doughboy (that’s Cube) denied these claims and even revealed Dre would be working on his next album.

Kush and Orange Juice – the breakfast of champions. Like so many of his other freshman counterparts, young Wiz has seen his star power increase each day the sun rises. His newest project, K&OJ, has been eagerly anticipated since news first broke he was recording it months ago. After last night’s listening, let’s just say it was well worth the wait.

Point blank, if you smoke, this could very well end up being your 4/20 soundtrack. The best aspect about the entire CD was how smoothly it flowed from start to finish. Khalifa isn’t exactly a “lyricist” (I hate that damn argument anyway), but the guy makes great music. His bars match the beat and both go on to create an enjoyable experience. The past couple of days I’ve been hearing remarks like “he only talks about smoking weed.” It may be true, but that’s his niche’. If it’s working properly, why take it apart and look for a problem?

Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but everything Cole has put out this year has been insane. This is the dirty version to the self-produced ”We On” that was left of DJ Khaled’s latest album, Victory. Not exactly sure how it got out in the first place, but that’s water under the bridge. The more important question, however, is how could Khaled actually this off his project?

One thing I will say about Cole is

It may not be ESPN like he originally planned, but Weezy’s talking sports again. This time in his own medium. In his first communication with the free world since his letter, Wayne speaks in depth about one of the sports world biggest stories – the Donovan McNabb trade to the Washington Redskins.

According to Wayne, the move is great for Donovan, but leaves the Eagles with an immediate concern at quarterback.

The other reason is the Eagles don’t have sufficient QB to fufill the role. I mean the 2nd round pick, Kevin Kolb, and Michael Vick doesn’t exactly fit the bill if you ask me. Philly is a hard place to play and an even harder place to play for. My sympathy gees out to Kolb and Vick, who will be expected to do nothing other than win.

Speaking of football, the NFL Draft will be taking place in New York City next week. Coach Carter also goes on to give his top five draft picks. And the selections may actually surprise you.
