“Charity doesn’t get to ghetto. Everybody knows that.”Tupac, 1991

Don’t shoot me, I’m just the messenger. It really seems Wyclef can’t catch a break in 2010. We all know of the devastation the earthquake that struck his native Haiti caused earlier this year. Then surfaced the financial “mishaps” which ‘Clef denied any wrongdoing in. Had this been 10 years ago, it would have died then. But since it’s not 10 years ago and nothing is really “secret” anymore, the legendary Haitian musician now has another set of problems to deal with. And it has to do with money, again.

According to everyone’s favorite detective, The Smoking Gun, Wyclef and Yele were using the organization’s earnings to pay for

After a few weeks of persistence, I decided to give Dave Coresh a listen. If I took time to listen to everything (I wish I could), I would’ve been flunked out of Georgetown. Thankfully, I decided to listen to this guy. I posted Dave Coresh about a month ago , so the fact he actually followed up with a tape a month later is impressive. It sucks when a song leaks but the project it was supposed to be on never sees the light of day. The Midwest kid prepares to formally introduce himself to the masses with along with the homie DJ Tay James (and a who’s who of websites).

Another thing. People have been hitting me up recently regarding the controversy surrounding his name. Do some research if you’re still confused. It’s a crazy connection to say the least. But still, I can’t answer why he chose to go with the name. Like Lulu from “Paid In Full” said, “I don’t know it’s just my name.” Well, it’s his name, but you get my point. All that should be cleared up pretty soon, but I’ll talk more on that when the time comes. Hit the jump for the back cover and the link.

Alley Boy’s on his hustle right now.

1) I’m hearing plenty of more visuals are being shot for his latest project, Defintion of Fuck Shit. If you haven’t heard it, do yourself and a favor and give it a spin. The good thing about (most of) his videos? They actually look like he took the time to really plan them out with setups and the whole nine.

2) He’s also shooting a video with Pill for their track “We Outside.” I couldn’t be happier about that. Both of those dudes snapped on that track.

and finally…

Nicki Minaj is chilling on Bowery, her petite glamour neutralizing the dank of Manhattan’s original Skid Row. Buxom and physically expressive, wearing a plush black fur jacket and thigh-high patent leather stiletto pumps, she looks like a snow bunny lost in the frigid city, except instead of a designer pocketbook, she’s clutching an open box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Half a block from her luxury room at The Bowery Hotel, a small crowd is gathering and gawking at her silhouette, a couple dudes weakly trying to holler from across the street. One 40-something Boricua with a camera phone musters the courage to ask for a picture, excited to send it to her son, and Minaj sweetly obliges. The scene’s not quite paparazzi status, but in the middle of winter, on a block half flophouse and half condo, this buzzing group of various onlookers is a testament to Nicki Minaj’s universal appeal.
