Ciara was on the Wendy Williams’ show today  to promote her new album Basic Instinct, which is in stores tomorrow. She spoke on her friendship with LaLa & Kim Kardashian and her album push backs. She took the time to dismiss rumors of her being involved  with 50 Cent and says he’s more of a bestfriend.

The Clipse have been rocking shows worldwide since they formed back in 1992, but this is their first time out to Melbourne, Australia. Playing to a packed crowd at Melbourne’s own Prince Bandroom – the home of so many good hiphop shows lately…. This clip features classic tracks from the 2006 album Hell Hath No fury – ‘Momma I’m so sorry‘, ‘Got it for cheap‘ and also an appearance by Ab Liva on stage for ‘Ride around shining‘.
I’ve always liked Collie Buddz music, but never felt comfortable enough to call myself a “true fan.” It’s not like I own any of their past releases or can quote my top five favorite records from them. Still, whenever I come across some new music from them, I try to give it a listen. Such is the case with the new video for “Holiday.”

This video is where it all started for rappers Lil Wayne & Ja Rule. Lil Wayne had to do time after this concert and Ja Rule may be next. Ja Rule is scheduled to be in court today as his trial is expected to begin this week on a gun-possession case back in July 2007.
Cops says they found a loaded semiautomatic gun in a rear door of his Maybach after it was stopped for speeding following a Manhattan concert. Cops say the chauffeured car also had a suspended registration and no insurance.
Ja Rule has already pleaded not guilty and his lawyer says the stop was unjustified. If convicted on the gun charge, the 34-year-old could face up to four years in prison.
UPDATE : Ja Rule reached a plead deal with Manhattan DA to serve 2 years.

When you think of a hardcore rap fan Gwyneth Paltrow wouldn’t typically come to mind. The Oscar winner may not wear her musical tastes on her sleeve but she’s a serious hip hop lover. Paltrow was recently out promoting her latest film Country Strong, which centers on a country superstar dealing with addiction, a failing marriage, and an up and comer trying to steal her shine. While talking about her preparation for the role she revealed how Beyonce was a huge inspiration for her and how some of her favorite albums right now include the latest from Nicki Minaj and Kanye West.
When it comes to music on her iPod Paltrow has a little bit of everything.
“I listen to everything. I probably have the most schizophranic iPod. My biggest obsession right now is the Nicki Minaj album. She’s a genius. I’m also obsessed with Kanye’s album. I really like Dierks Bentley. He has a bluegrass record that I really love.â€
