Yes, this is what you think it is. A song from the legendary Lauryn Hill song. What’s even better is that up until this point is that no one has ever heard it either. It’s still unknown whether this is simply an unreleased record or a brand new song, but when it comes to L-Boogie, you have to take it how you can get it. With all the talk that’s been surrounding her name over the past couple of months, you just get that feel you’re about to hear new music from her.

Be sure to catch Ms. Hill on the Rock The Bells Tour this summer.

I have to credit eskay for this one. Admittedly, I didn’t know too much about Ricky Powell aside from maybe the one or two episodes of his show Rappin With The Rickster. Even then, I saw them on VHS and this was back in the early to mid 90′s. He made his mark on TV, but many remember him for being one of Hip-Hop’s most legendary photographers. His two disc DVD set going by the same name as his show serves as a history lesson.

If you want to see the genre in its early stages from legendary lenses, this looks to be a great purchase. You’ll find exclusive footage of the show and his interactions with Laurence Fishburne, Spike Jonze, Russell Simmons, Eazy E and Run D.M.C. The beautiful thing is, that’s only the first disc. Disc 2 features the show from a 2010 perspective and what Powell has tucked up his sleeve for the near and distant future.

It feels like it’s been a minute since we heard from Leland Austin. That was, at least, until now. At the the moment, Grand Hustle seems to be focusing on T.I.‘s upcoming album, B.o.B.‘s recent success and even Mike Bigga‘s impending project. This doesn’t mean Yung LA hasn’t been in the studio putting in work.

Keeping it in-house, labelmates Jay Sean and Nicki Minaj collaborate on a record that seems tailor suited for pop radio and one that plays off the 2012 conspiracy theorists (kinda). According to HHNM, Nicki was only slated to appear on the remix to this, but it looks as if this is going to be pushed as the original version. Jay Sean’s next project is currently in the works and should be hitting shelves in the coming months.

North Carolina’s native son Petey Pablo makes a bid for your summer playlist with this new joint produced by Timbaland. Middle Eastern influences and Autotune abound in the song, which is supposedly the first official single from his upcoming album. Oh, and didn’t Petey once say Timbo was producing the entire album? C’mon and raise up.

In an effort to capitalize on the success of his latest studio album Raymond vs Raymond, Usher is preparing to release new music in the form of an EP aptly titled Versus. The Bun B assisted, Polow da Don produced “Get In My Car” is the second single to leak from the EP, which is scheduled to be released on August 24th.

Usher’s been busy promoting his latest single, “There Goes My Baby”, which is currently the #2 R&B single in the country, and still has a heavy radio presence with his hit single “O.M.G.” His VH1 Behind The Music special has also been the source of a great deal of internet chatter since it aired Monday night.

Turns out, Tip is going to run with this as the lead single from King Uncaged after all.

I remember this being met with some resistance online when it first leaked dropped, but I’m a fan of the record personally. It’s typical T.I., which has found him ultra success in the past and the type of song only he could get away with as his first single. The video itself centers around the message of the song
