Nas and Damian are still hard at work promoting their Distant Relatives album. Last night, the two tore down the Hammersmith Apollo in what was described by one of HitHipHop.com‘s represenatives as “one of the best shows” he has ever seen. Helping celebrate the occasion were Semtex, Jay Electronica and, of course, DJ Green Lantern who happens to be the tour’s official DJ. Even Amy Winehouse was in attendance. In keeping with her “Harajuku Barbie” moniker, the video for Nicki Minaj‘s “Your Love” comes complete with a dojo, Samurai swords, and kimonos. It also features actor Michael Jai White as the Sensai/love interest. The spot was directed by X…and will debut on 106 and Park this afternoon.
Nicki is the first female in 8 years to hold the top spot on Billboard’s Rap singles chart, and is preparing for the release of her yet-to-be-titled debut album on November 23.

No matter how you feel about his music, we can all agree that Diddy is always about his business, and has created a dynamic, multi-faceted brand. In this clip he sits down with Toure’ and drops knowledge about everything from his new album Last Train To Paris, to his relationship with Biggie, and his father’s connection to the  legendary Harlem kingpins Frank Lucas and Nicky Barnes.
The remainder of 2010 is looking good for Diddy. Rick Ross, who he co-manages, just released one of the most anticipated albums of the summer, and his group, Diddy-Dirty Money is scheduled to release their debut album on September 20th.

Whenever I was in college (undergrad and grad), the first thing each professor would say in regards to research is that Wikipedia was NOT a credible source. It sucks because whenever you look your topic up on Google, Wikipedia is always the first or second link. Talk about a tease. Professors are professors for reason, however. They know what they’re talking about. Most of the time. Half of the time. Ok, at least 35% of the time they do.

Bruno Mars recently unveiled “Just The Way You Are,†the first single from his forthcoming as-yet-untitled debut album slated to arrive later this year.
Mars is, of course, the soulful crooner who’s lent his vocals to some of the year’s most memorable songs, B.o.B.’s “Nothin On You†and Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire.†He recently collaborated with Cee-Lo and B.o.B. (again) on the “The Other Side,” a track from his EP It’s Better If You Don’t Understand.
