Like Michael Jordan, Lil Wayne doesn’t forget a slight. Last week, the YMCMB CEO was thrown out of the Miami Heat’s American Airlines Arena for allegedly making a gun gesture at a fan, causing the “long hair don’t care” MC to voice his displeasure via Twitter: “So I’m @ da Heat game right, rootin 4 da Lakers kuz dats my team & would u believe they got police 2 make me leave?! Wow! F#€k da Heat.”

Considering that Tunechi had become accustomed to sitting courtside at NBA games and that, according to him, he has been banned from all NBA events because of his beef with the team, the I Am Not A Human Being II spitter relayed his feelings on getting snubbed from attending the NBA’s biggest weekend of the year in the only way he knew how: onstage at the Beats By Dre afterparty at Houston’s Stereo Live.

When Nike aligned itself with Michael Jordan, the brand (and Mike) was never the same again, catapulting themselves to charts unseen before or since. Nike became more than brand of shoes and athletic wear. Nike became synomous with its generation with every fashionable, up-to-date and “must-have.” The lesson in all this? That perfect endorsement only comes around once every 15-20 years or so. ESPN The Magazine chronicled one of the current generation which paired one of rap’s most iconic names with basketball’s biggest attraction – Dr. Dre and LeBron James. 

Kendrick Lamar‘s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, has received some of the best reviews seen in this years music realm. With the additional backing of mentor Dr. Dre, Lamar won’t be slowing down anytime soon. The two took the stage in London at the official Beats by Dre party to perform Swimming Pools, which had the whole venue shaking. Check out the performance after the jump. The Beats By Dre founder Dr.Dre and the chairman of Interscope-Geffen Records, Jimmy Iovine, release the new Beats “Pill” a portable speaker player in the shape of an enlarged medicine pill with the slogan “A Pill A Day Keeps The Doctor Away”. Last week, School Boy Q stopped by the Beats by Dre office in LA to catch up and take a break from his current tour with Kendrick Lamar. During the visit, he gave an exclusive freestyle on video, which can be viewed above.
