Fashion Frenzy: Met Gala 2012; Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye and More

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala called out some of Hollywood’s finest last night all they all showed up in stunning designs. The crowd favorite? Hands down Beyonce! Looking gorgeous in a sheer Givenchy gown with a purple train of feathers.

Despite the fact that she showed up a little tardy, everyone watched and waited for her amazing arrival; the true definition of fashionably late. Little sister, Solange was also in attendance. Looking ravishing in Rachel Roy, she lit up the red carpet in a yellow gown.

Rihanna also showed attended the event and was very excited to be there.  “I love coming to the Met Ball. It’s a fun event, You get dressed up, have some nice dinner, and have some entertainment.” She arrived in a form fitting Tom Ford gown and wearing jewelry from Repossi.

RiRi also shared hints about a clothing line that she has in the works. “Designing is definitely in the near future for me and we’re working on it as we speak, I can’t really say yet. It’ll be fun and it’ll definitely be things that I love and that are inspired by my personal style.”

Kanye, Mr. and Mrs. Swizz Beatz , Bruno Mars, Janelle Monae, and Azealia Banks were also apart of the elegant event.  Check out their photos below.

1. Jack White – Blunderbuss – 137,554 - I knew this was going to land somewhere near the top of the charts when I saw a tweet saying Jay-Z was at a recent show. Turns out, it’s at the very top.

2. Adele – 21 – 83,917 - Adele’s slacking. She’s only pushing a hair above 80K now? What a loser. In all seriousness though, guess who’s on “diamond watch”? She’s only 1.1M away.

8. Nicki Minaj – Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – 32,432 - I have no problem admitting 2 Chainz’s verse on “Beez In The Trap” is my guilty pleasure. “NICKI, NICKI, NICKI…”

17. Future – Pluto – 17,293 - Here’s a little known fact about Future. He can actually rap when he feels like showing it. That said, 98% of people won’t believe you when you tell them that. He does have ties with the legendary Dungeon Family, for the record.

Lil Wayne releases the visuals for “Mirror” featuring Bruno Mars, one of my favorite tracks off the deluxe edition of “Tha Carter IV.” The artistic expression in this video is crazy. TuneChi uses his scars and tattoo’s as an art form, and concludes with a portrait of himself that represents his mirror on the wall. Take a splash into the Antoine Fuqua-directed video above.

1. Jill Scott – Light Of The Sun – 136,000 – She looked great and performed even better at the BET Awards and from what I hear about this album, it’s well worth the price of admission.

6. Royce & Eminem (Bad Meets Evil) – Hell: The Sequel – 63,000 – This brings the tally to 234,000. Just wait until they release the video for “Lighters” (aka the song with Bruno Mars). That should give them another pop culture steroid shot; even if I’m not a huge fan of the record in particular.

7. LMFAO – Sorry For Party Rocking – 27,000 - Regardless if they go on to become bigger celebrities than what they already are, or fizzle out by the end of this year, “Shots” will forever be a party classic.
