Chaka Khan Accepts McDonald’s 365 Black Awards & Discusses New Foundation

McDonald’s rocked the convention center at the 2012 Essence Music Festival last week with sizzling hot talent, fun games and of course plenty of delicious Frappe Chocolate Chip!

Serving as the official event social media correspondent, I caught up with Tyrese and Pooch Hall, who both were involved with activities at the booth, and the fans loved them. Both sat down with me for exclusive interviews to talk about their work with the McDonald’s and what’s next on deck for both.

The 2012 McDonald’s 365Black Awards were hot in more ways than one. The red carpet sizzled with top celebrities such as Tank, Marsha Ambrosias, MC Lyte, Grant & Tamia Hill and the legendary Chaka Khan.

As the McDonald’s official event social media correspondent I had the pleasure of getting some backstage love from Melanie Fiona and Chaka Khan at the 365Black Awards. Honoree recipient Chaka Khan expressed how excited she was to be recognized for her work with the Chaka Khan Foundation and how proud she is to be honored by a Brand that makes giving back one of its primary focuses.
