Drake graces the cover of GQ Magazine’s July 2013 issue with the coverline: “Drake: Started From The Bottom Now He’s Here.”

In the July 2013 cover story, titled “How to Drake It in America,” Drake invites writer Michael Paterniti into his San Fernando Valley home to talk about his forthcoming album, sex not being a priority to him, and how Drake doesn’t really “live some crazy rapper life.”

Drake’s story revolves around his single “Started From The Bottom,” where Drake addresses all of the misconceptions around him, mainly these three things: “I’m a cocky asshole because I’m a famous male rapper, that any part of me wants to be gangster or hood, and that I grew up rich.”

While no set release date for his forthcoming Nothing Was The Same album has been announced, GQ’s story reveals that Drake sampled Whitney Houston on a track and Curtis Mayfield at a 1987 concert in Montreux saying “Having the same fears, shedding similar tears, and of course dying in so many years, it don’t mean that we can’t have a good life.” (more…)

Chris Brown releases the latest single from his upcoming sixth studio album ‘X’, which is set to release on July 16th. ’Don’t Think They Know‘ features never-before-heard vocals from the late  songstress Aaliyah and just like the last single release ’Fine China’, it comes accompanied by a self directed-visual.

The video was shot over in Los Angeles, California. Chris tweeted “The new single is apart of my “UNITY CAMPAIGN” which encourages all races, genders, sexes, (everyone) gay or straight to love each other!“ Chris also pays homage to Aaliyah with a holographic form of the singer and a ending note which reads “Dear Aaliyah, We love and miss you, thank you for inspiring us all”.

We got a behind the scenes  look for the making of “They Don’t Know” by Chris Brown featuring Aaliyah.  Directed by Chris Brown: Shot in Los Angeles, California. The track will appear on his upcoming album X, hitting stores July 16th.

For all the Chris Brown fans out there, the singer has just dropped some new music in the form of a remix to keep his listeners held over until the drop of “X” on July 16th. Breezy takes a remix stab at the new track “Somebody Else”, originally recorded by singer Mario and featuring Nicki Minaj.
