Video: Chief Keef Reveals What Labels He May Be Signing To

We already know how Birdman feels about the up-incoming rapper Chief Keef. But during a small window of opportunity from his house arrest bid for weapons possession, the Chicago Illinois native swung by the GlobalGrind to discuss which three record labels he was considering signing with.

Despite the crazy attention from his “I Don’t Like” remix with Kanye and G.O.O.D. Music, it looks like they won’t be the direction his looking for. I’m thinking based off his last feature with Young Jeezy for his new single “Understand Me,” CTE may be the move for the 16 year old rapper. Check out the interview above and let us know what you think?

Ross isn’t the only one building an empire. A little further up from Miami in Atlanta, Jeezy is slowly building his CTE empire up from the ground. Recently he signed former XXL Freshman Freddie Gibbs and last night while in the studio he announces that Scrilla is the newest member of the CTE family. Congrats to both artists. Now can we get that “TM103“, Jeezy?

Freddie Gibbs was in Chicago last night for a show and had a few surprises for the fans. During his set, the former XXL Freshman brought out Jeezy to let everyone know that indeed it’s official, he is the newest member of the CTE team. We reported that this signing was developing early last month, so it shouldn’t be as much of a surprise. Congrats to Freddie & to Jeezy for signing a great artist.

It appears as if another former XXL Freshman will joining forces with a respected name in the industry. Start connecting the dots and Gary, Indiana’s own Freddie Gibbs may soon be joining Young Jeezy’s Corporate Thug Entertainment (CTE) imprint. Last week, Gibbs and Jeezy hit the studio together to record an undisclosed amount of tracks. Apparently, “Mr. 17.5″ was so impressed with the talent of the Midwest rhymer that he is looking to add him to the roster.

More on this as it develops.

Success in the music industry is notoriously difficult. Whether it be the obstacle of not having the backing of a major label, or the lack of respect and support from superstar rappers and fans alike, the road to stardom is far from easy. Many people have fallen at the hands of these hardships. One man who has thrived in these conditions is California rapper Roccett.  His talent and drive caught the attention of Get Your Green Up Entertainment in 2004, and his partnership with the company, which has worked with notables like Usher and Tupac, has produced a sizable buzz. Having already worked with established stars like Young Jeezy, Fabolous, Killer Mike, Knoc’turn’al and other rappers like Young Buck and Akon at this young stage of his career, as well as having critically acclaimed mixtapes under his belt, Roccett’s talent is clear. With so many dues paid, his industry knowledge and the groundwork set, Roccett is poised to make lasting impression on hip-hop. Roccett is the newest “inductee” to The Introduction.  Learn more about this Cali native as KarenCivil.com takes a ride through New York City with a G.
