I saw this tape appear on my timeline more than a few times over the past few days, so without even listening yet, I forward it to you, the people. Casey’s rather dope on the mic and if this tape is anything like the tweets have been praising, be prepared to throw this on the iPod and ride out ASAP. Following the tape’s release yesterday, Casey had this to say:
“Today is The Day. 5 Years In The Making. Vol. 1 at 13. Vol. 2 at 15. And Now. At 18 Years Old And A Lot OF Time Under My Belt This Is The Tape I Wanted To Drop. All Original. I Worked Hard On This Thing. I Had Thoughts Of It When I Was Making Sleeping In Class. I Knew I Wanted To Do This. I Do This For The Youth. I Wanna Show The World That Young People Can Be Great. I Wanna Embrace The Entire Culture And Take It By Storm. This Is The Exact Music I Wanted To Make. I Will Never Let Anyone Turn My Color Into Black and White. Grind Hard Live Fast Get By Stay Golden. Ladies And Gentleman, I, Young Casey Veggies. Present To You Customized Greatly Vol. 3…”
I’m not a fan of capitalizing every first letter of every word, but congrats to the young man on the project’s release. It’s still crazy to believe he’s only 18 and that he was in elementary school when I started college. Anywho, Young Veggies (as Dom Kennedy calls him) snags Raheem DeVaugh, Odd Future, Jhene Aiko and more to all lend their services. Check out the tracklist below and the link below that.
