One of the artist with the most hype behind him right now is Trinidad James, the outrageously creative and tackishly stylish rapper of the track “All Gold Everything” which everyone seems to be familiar with. In recent news and after a short period of bidding wars, Trinidad James inked a record deal with Def Jam Records. James talks signing the 2 Million $ Deal, not being a one-hit-wonder and a bunch of talk about the start of his music career. Well isn’t this a surprise? Well not really because Def Jam has a reputation and track record like no other and they’ve just added another artist to add to their already loaded team. Billboard recently broke the news to the world and the deal for the ATLien is said to be around $2 million dollars. Go ahead and add yet another amazing accomplishment to The-Dream‘s resume’. Today, Def Jam makes it official as they appoint Dream as the brand new VP of A&R. Incase you’re wondering the job description of a A&R VP, they are responsible for many things involving the artist over at Def Jam, including scouting new artists and producing songs as well as writing them. We all know that Dream is no stranger to either of these requirements so I’m sure he’ll do great. Congrats to both parties, now if only we could get The-Dream’s “Love IV” album. About 7 days early from the physical release date, Frank Ocean‘s highly anticipated ‘Channel Orange‘ album has been released via iTunes. A label decision, that was confirmed by Billboard.com earlier today, will be officially announced on the Jimmy Fallon show before Frank performs with The Roots on tonights episode.
