The Hip-Hop Wired crew traveled down to Miami, Florida a few weeks ago to get up with famed photographer Derick G. Derick G. is a behind the scenes photographer for the YMCMB crew and has shot for many people including Snoop Dogg, DJ Khaled, Lil’ Wayne, Drake and more. In this video, Derick G. talks about meeting Birdman and how doing something he wasn’t supposed to do led him to a full time gig.
A little over a week ago, we received several photos from Shanell‘s video shoot for her single featuring Lil Wayne. Well today, Derrick G releases the official behind the scenes footage of the Director X directed visual. Be on the lookout for Shanell’s second mixtape Nobody’s Bitch which is set to be released soon.
While on the set of Drake‘s HYFR video, DJ Khaled and Birdman get Derrick G to turn on the camera to better inform us about their upcoming ventures. The ventures include some big things such as We The Best officially joining YMCMB, book deals, movies and much more. On top of all this, Khaled recently released the first single from his “Kiss The Ring” album and from the looks of the video, these two guys are not going to slow down anytime soon.
