California’s music scene is one that can’t be touched and has its moments of being in your face and under the rug. With it now reclaiming it’s position, post Jerk-movement, two legends E-40 and Too $hort remind us why it’s necessary to turn up everyday. Releasing the visuals for their new song Slid Through featuring Tyga, check out the new song as they provide the necessary antidote for those “close” moments: ratchet music. The duo’s new album History: Function & Mob Music is in stores now.

He’s back and with yet another stellar interview. We all know how Nardwuar gets down with the interviews, this one is no different as he surprises and amazes E-40. Not sure how many interviews Nardwuar has done but I’ve yet to see a bad one, and I doubt you’ve seen one either.
Big Sean, Young Jeezy, Chris Brown were among the artist that came out to show love to E-40 for the shooting of his “Function” video. French Montana, Problem and Red Cafe also stopped through.

Before moving on, let me first say, R.I.P. Martin Luther King. If you’re asking why I said that, utilize Google and read a book. Now, to what we came here for…
22. Drake – Take Care – 15,900 - Any day now those “Take Care” and “HYFR” videos will drop. Any day now.
31. Tyga - Careless World: Rise Of The Last King – 12,400 - Something tells me “Faded” and “Make It Nasty” will become huge songs this summer.
34. Odd Future – OF Tape, Vol. 2 – 11,900 - With this album doing what it’s supposed to do, when can we expect Frank Ocean’s project?
Too Short’s in the process of releasing his 19th solo album. Let that marinate for a moment. Nineteen solo albums. That’s about, on average, six rap catalogs all rolled into one. He’s recorded with everyone from Pac to Biggie to Jay to Snoop and everyone in between and for the lead single from his forthcoming No Trespassing, Short and fellow Bay Area icon, E-40, releasing the visual for “Money On The Floor.”
