Interview Magazine is known for their particularly cutting edge pieces on some of hip-hop’s frontrunners and fresh faces (strongly recommend reading the A$AP Rocky March 2013 Cover Story). In the newest issue of Interview, the soulful songstress Erykah Badu gets to chop it up with Kendrick Lamar for a dope Question and Answer session. Badu taps into questions about K.Dot’s family life, his top ten MC’s (in no particular order), and even offers him some veteran advice for the future of his career. Another viral video drop from rapper Machine Gun Kelly as he back packs through the journey of his current “Lace Up” tour 2013. This time  MGK is back to pay homage to one of the greater rappers of hip hop’s generations, Eminem. From sitting on a stoop in Detroit, spitting the lyrics to “Lose Yourself” with his fans, to having the audience rap along with him to B-Rabbit’s battle verse in the movie 8 Mile, this video is a must see. Singer/songwriter Skylar Grey and Eminem hit the trailer park in the new video for “C’mon Let Me Ride”. As the first single off her upcoming Don’t Look Down debut, their collaboration marks one of many projects from the duo, with Eminem as the executive producer of the album. With it’s final issue of the year hitting shelves, Rolling Stone has four different covers that Hip-Hop lovers will enjoy. Eminem, Biggie, Tupac and Jay-Z all have their own cover for this month’s issue of Rolling Stone. What a very interesting combination of artist for a record. 50 Cent calls on great friend Eminem and the “Moves Like Jagger” Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine for the collaboration that is “My Life”. The My Life trailer features all three international music superstars in the city of Detroit, running for their lives… a metaphor playing on the fear of running from difficulties in life as we all have heard in both Em and 50′s music. With a touch of Adam Levine, “My Life” offers a nontraditional sound sure to bring back the old, hungry “from nothing to something” vibe that we’ve always loved from 50 cent.
