1. Jay-Z & Kanye West – Watch The Throne – 436,078 - As if there was any doubt which album would land at #1. The only question, sales wise, is if they’ll be platinum by the start of the NFL season.

4. Adele – 21 – 72,722 - I guess the real question is if Ye-Z can mimic the success of this young lady. Three times platinum by next week. Take that to the bank.

7. Beyonce – 4 – 26,792 - I saw some upset responses about Mrs. Carter  being omitted from last week’s edition. So here you go. She’s still 350K away from platinum. Will she eventually get there? Probably. But just the thought about a Beyonce album not going platinum doesn’t even sound right.

21. Gucci Mane & Waka Flocka – Ferrari Boyz – 16,709 - Well, I’m going to be honest. I didn’t expect this to sell over 30K the first week for two main reasons. One, there was no real mainstream push behind this project. Two, the crowd they’re selling to probably was never going to buy this album to begin with. That’s no shade, but just look at the numbers. For all the people who love Gucci and Waka’s music, 80% probably burned this CD or took it off someone’s iPod. 

1. Adele – 21 – 76,000 - There’s great news and then there’s good news. The good news is even though she’ll be knocked out of the top spot next week by ‘Ye-Z, she’ll probably still be top three. The great news? She’ll be three times platinum next week.

13. Kelly Rowland – Here I Am – 25,275 - Respect to Kelly, because I expected a bigger drop off than this. Asking her to repeat a single with the success of “Motivation” is impossible. However, a quality second one would be a good way for her to close the summer out (i.e. maybe the Big Sean record).

43. Eminem – Recovery – 10,149 - Give this about two weeks (three at the very most) and Marshall will have another platinum plaque to collect. This time for four million in sales. He also has two other albums that are diamond still in the top 200 as well. 

Last night in Montreal at the Osheaga Festival, Eminem did his first ever performance of “Space Bound” off of his “Recovery” album. After the jump, Eminem pays homage to the late great Nate Dogg by performing some of his classic verses.

1. Adele – 21 – 77,130 - The songbird appears to get more and more popular as the weeks go by and the numbers prove such. With over 2.75M already scanned and in households across America, she’s still moving 77,000 a week.

5. DJ Khaled – We The Best Forever – 52,914 - Probably not the numbers Khaled wanted to see, but pretty much expected from my seat in the arena. “I’m On One” is still my favorite single of the summer, if that’s any consolation.

9. Amy Winehouse – Back To Black – 37,332 - After not even appearing on the charts last week, the deceased star’s Back To Black lands at the nine spot. Her death all but guaranteed a spot in the top 10, so I guess Jadakiss was right. “Controversy sells, but not like death.”

25. Jill Scott – Light Of The Sun – 259,191 - Congrats to Jill for this. 300K looks more like a formality than a goal now.

27. Big Sean – Finally Famous: The Album – 14,340 - He better go on and drop that “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” video while the getting is good. “Ass,” too. 

1. Jill Scott – Light Of The Sun – 136,000 – She looked great and performed even better at the BET Awards and from what I hear about this album, it’s well worth the price of admission.

6. Royce & Eminem (Bad Meets Evil) – Hell: The Sequel – 63,000 – This brings the tally to 234,000. Just wait until they release the video for “Lighters” (aka the song with Bruno Mars). That should give them another pop culture steroid shot; even if I’m not a huge fan of the record in particular.

7. LMFAO – Sorry For Party Rocking – 27,000 - Regardless if they go on to become bigger celebrities than what they already are, or fizzle out by the end of this year, “Shots” will forever be a party classic. 

While it’s the highest selling rap album since Wayne’s C3, Eminem is still keeping his latest album, Recovery, in the news. Marshall liberated his new video “Space Bound” which was actually shot some time ago. The visual features Sasha Grey as the lead lady in this Joseph Kahn produced flick. And having the words “flick” and “Sasha Grey” was in no way referring to her previous form of employment, but it worked well there.

Since he’s shooting videos for Recovery though, I wouldn’t mind seeing one for “Going Through Changes.”

1. Eminem & Royce Da 5’9 – Hell: The Sequel – 170,868 - First and foremost, congrats to Nickel 9 on his first #1 album. Yeah, say it’s because of Eminem, and while that may be true, I’ll just give credit where it’s due.

3. Adele – 21 – 114,540 - Adele can do no wrong at the moment and she has two things to prove it. One, obviously, her music. Two, she has 2.3 million other people who think she has dope enough music to spend their hard earned cash on. I’m still trying to go see her in concert.

5. Lady Gaga – Born This Way – 67, 590 – She just keeps going platinum and selling shows. And quite frankly, I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

25. Tech N9ne – All 6′s and 7′s – 18,100 – I’d love to see Tech sell 150K on this with no type of real push mainstream wise. He’s already halfway there.

30. Justin Bieber – My World 2.0 – 14,292 - What is going to be interesting to see about J. Bieber is if his fans will grow with his music. For now though, The Fever is alive and well and has him creeping up on three times platinum. Oh and for the record, his acoustic album is 653,000 deep and #106 on the charts.

77. Marsha Ambrosius – Late Nights & Early Mornings – 7,900 - To date, this album has sold 314,609 copies. That’s amazing. I didn’t think it was over the 200K mark. Regardless, congrats to one of my personal favorite singers out there.

126. R. Kelly – Love Letter - 4,882 – Kelz is creeping up on 600K on an album that I think was under-promoted (I could be wrong though). That’s consumer confidence if I’ve ever seen such. I’m not mad at all and this all but guarantees a new album either at the end of the year or top of 2012.

134. Lil Wayne – Tha Carter III - 4,490 - Just thought I’d like to point out nearly 4500 people last week bought Weezy’s album…that came out in 2008. 3.6M and counting.

143. Eminem – Marshall Mathers LP – 4,198 - This probably stemmed from the fact he and Royce had the #1 album in the country, but still. This came out in the year 2000! You want the exact numbers? 10,449,903.
