The multi-talented international star Nicki Minaj his back on her press grind after getting a quick break from her series of American Idol judging. The pop princess sits down with Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about her chaotic schedule. Nicki speaks on her constant love/hate relationship with Mariah Carey, giving fans nicknames, getting in trouble in Dubai for hugging unmarried men and more. It doesnt end there however, as Ms. Minaj takes to Jimmy’s huge outdoor stage to perform “Va Va Voom” & “Freedom” cuts off her new album Roman Reloaded: The Re Up. Check it out after the jump!

Just days away from the first episode airing of American Idol, in which Miss Minaj will be starring as a celebrity judge, the Young Money queen takes to The Ellen Degeneres show to perform “Freedom”, a classic cut off her recent release of “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re Up”. Nicki is very nervous at this point in her career, as she feels appering on Idol will bring TOO much fame to her life, that she might not be ready for. Following today’s drop of Nicki Minaj’s 3rd follow up album “Roman Reloaded: The Reup”,  Nicki has released the video for her latest track “Freedom”. The mid black & white production features a dark and iery Nicki, intermixed with lyrics that promote self assurance in the suceess of her  career. A staircase to nowhere and a ship-wrecked boat play a role in the creative process of this video, helping to relay the message of what is yet to come in young Minaj’s career. If anyone knows how to completely build up their reputation before an album release it would have to be Nicki Minaj. Minaj has possibly built up every plateau or stepping block that she could in order to make this album a success…Including dropping a visual every other week to complement her singles. Freedom features lyrics that pay homage to those who have strengthened her career; such as Wayne…Freedom also portrays through lyrics, how Minaj became a strong player, her success and dealing with fame. It’s not hard to find a personal favorite from Clipse‘s last album, Til The Casket Drops. Malice and Pusha finally released the visual for their next single, the Sean C & LV produced “Freedom.” Definitely one of their more introspective records, the duo reflect on times when rap wasn’t the main priority in their lives, while the calling of the streets were. It’s always good to see a record such as this receive a visual because it allows the listener to truly gain insight into what the artist(s) mindset was at the time the song was recorded.
