I mean… if you were at any point recently, questioning the state of Hip Hop, then question no further because rapper/producer Hit Boy has just dropped a serious gem. The west coast native brings in some of the heaviest names in heavy weight rap for this new freestyle track titled “Cypher”. The lyrically ill & positive rapper Lecrae stops through BET’s 106 & Park Backroom special to drop an extremely dope freestyle. The backroom features a space where artist can come and get gritty and spit bars compared to the commercialized “calm cool & collected” appearance they have to maintain on stage. Rapper A$AP Rocky takes to the UK’s Tim Westwood Show, famously known from BBC 1 Radio across the pond, to drop a hot freestyle. The Harlem rapper has a lot to prove with the release of his first studio album, and has been rapping everywhere to show off those skills. With a mouth full of gold, Rocky jams out with Tim W on the 1′s and 2′s right next to him wearing the purple polo, and the two get trill for this hot little freestyle rap. Looks fun! Harlem rapper Jim Jones takes to the media today to release a new underground video to his free-styled rendition of Miguel’s “Do You”. We at KarenCivil.com are always great a spotting an artist gearing up for a new album push when they began to release a ton of material consecutively. Can we expect the same from Jimmy? “Do You” finds Jones wrapped up in a Kaleidoscope like visual running down the line of the different types of substances he likes to use, and of course comparing it to sweet love making.
