Twitter exploded as Lupe Fiasco took the red carpet at the Grammys. Dressed in what appeared to be a long jersey under a blazer and ninja shoes, the rapper had everybody was wondering, “What was Lupe thinking?” with his selection. In an interview with Fuse before the show he explained the idea behind the attire as well scrapping the second edition of Food & Liquor 2 and continuing forth with his new album, which will be titled Tetsuo & Youth. Grammy weekend is well underway as the awards air tomorrow, but doesn’t mean that celebrities have saved their swag for tomorrow night, because there are a ton of pre Grammy parties to hit today. Rapper Big Sean stops by Vibe Magazines pre-Grammy celebration and chops it up with Rap-Up TV on his new album “Hall of Fame”. The album will have features from Miguel, Jhene Aiko, Kid Kudi, Common and Nas..plus Sean has some tricks up his sleeve. Check out the interview after the jump!

It may be safe to say Chris Brown has officially come all the way back from incident that nearly ended his career three years ago. Tonight, C.B. took to the stage to perform his hits “Beautiful People” and “Turn Up The Music.” I saw Twitter somewhat upset he was lip synching, but I’d imagine jumping and flipping all over one of those blocks from Tetris would probably take some of your energy away.
Regardless, the night became even better for Chris as he captured the Grammy for Best R&B Album.

J. Cole has accomplished many accolades as a new artist thus far in his career. Although he’s got a platinum single, a gold album and a Grammy nomination, the North Carolina rapper wants more. He has already started working on his next move, and has no signs of slowing down.
Cole and his label knew how critical it was to hit the Grammys deadline for submitting his album for consideration. The obvious decision for his single was the platinum selling song, “Work Out.” Two days before the Grammys deadline, Cole released his album “Cole World: The Sideline Story.” When the Grammy nomination list dropped, he was nominated along side Nicki Minaj for “Best New Artist.” Now J. Cole has his suit ready, picked out a dress for “moms,” and he’s ready to take it all home.
As an artist with flair for making an entrance, Nicki Minaj arrived on the carpet in head-to-toe leopard, literally. To echo the print, Nicki completes her black and blond Afro with leopard spots, then adds a glittery, green eyeliner and a bright pink lip to complete the look. So what’s the verdict?
With hip hop having a tight grip on the 53rd Grammy Awards, yesterday Drake and Rihanna were announced to be performing at the ceremony. On the roster also, Cee-Lo will be reciting his hit “Fuck You†alongside actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Jim Henson’s Company Muppets. The Grammys air February 13th on CBS.
